Probably has something to do with LR wanted to start with the more skillful players against southamptom and i suppose he had in his head Sharp has more experience at this level in this type of game, LR said it was just selection for for this paticular game.
I read something on a Bristol City board lamenting the fact that Alfie slipped under their radar. Seems as if he's local to that parish.
LR said it was just selection. Same with Christie who is fit again now. With Seri being back someone had to drop out of the squad, and we already had two strikers on the bench plus Tufan and Traore, so I guess he just felt that a striker of Ohio's profile was the one we least needed.
His hospital pass to Seri when he was quite clearly being tightly marked could have made it a totally different game.
We bought him under the austerity of the Allams in League One. No way was it a 1 million fee. Pretty sure it was a free transfer - he only signed a one year deal too, as far as I remember.
Indeed. It does happen from time to time, I'm never sure if Allsop's at fault for giving or Seri for asking.
Yes, I would imagine that the management team run through various potential scenarios of how a game may pan out and then select the bench based on which players best suit the most likely outcomes. Presumably, on this occasion it was felt that Ohio was going to be the least likely to be required.
Exactly this. There's something majestic about Greaves when he's able to stride out of defence either in the press or with the ball. Then as soon as the phase is over he's got the legs to get back in position without issue.
Not necessarily. Those decisions will be based on multiple factors, such as opposition, tactics, conditions, other players availability etc. I would imagine they felt that it was more likely that if we were struggling at the end of the game to get something, having Sharp in the box to try and nick us a goal might be more important than what Ohio may offer.
No it does not, LR thought in this game Sharp had more experience in these type of games than Ohio so don't make out they don't think alot of Ohio that is stupid.
Daft **** tried a bit of bait with his imaginary 'dog whistle thread' garbage. That is all. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
