Something not quite right there, considering Sharp’s performance level and the fact he has actually scored..

Quite an evening to be a City fan, when you take the performance, and to be the first win since 1951 really highlights what an achievement last night was. What make it more remarkable was that this is a very good side, unbeaten at home since September, which in my view really makes this a very special moment in our history.

Congratulation to Liam and the coaching team who masterminded this result, and it should go down as one of the stand-out moments in our history.

Really hard to pick a MOTM, mine would be Slater as he was excellent for the full 96 minutes, but it could have been anyone, Omur looks a class act, and it looks as if Carvalho/Zaroury/Jaden are starting to gel together.

The back 4 were excellent, and we have to sign Giles on a permanent, what a larker he is!

Seri make a big difference to how we play, great to have him back.

On to West Brom, there must be a few tired legs, just hope we can recover well.

What a last few games, 3 wins in a row, and 5 wins out of 6 games, a great run of results, long may it continue.

Absolutely outstanding performance, attacked together rather than in isolation and had them on the ropes in the first half. THAT'S dominance - not holding possession in our half for so long, but using our possession to pounce and create good efforts at pace. We need to keep doing this, we definitely have the quality to play this way.

Not being negative at all as last night was fantastic but do many get quietly frustrated when we see so many chances to shoot but often don’t ? Last night we did a bit of both some of the finishing was poor but the two goals excellently taken , Delap would have had a field day with early powerful shots . I’d just like a little more playing together between Zasoury , Jaden and Fabio , but then they all want to score .

For all our forwards will take the plaudits. Our defensive 4 and Seri were immense last night. Had their markers in their back pocket and didn’t give them a yard.

Don’t remember seeing Greaves, Jones or Seri being so aggressive in the press before. Our centre backs were nearly pushing Soton as far back as their own box!

City have now won eight of the last 13 league matches. Despite a few bumps in the road, that’s genuine promotion form.

What a fantastic performance from the TEAM tonight, fast counter attacking football. I just hope we can get our pitch in a better condition as Liam referred to it in his interview and allowus to continue this great style of playing. Well done tonight.

Is Brian Horton still linked to the club as I love how he used the word “us” especially if he’s not.

Well said. I don’t live locally however I talk football a lot and know many people involved in the game, at all levels. I get the view from outside Hull and inside football. Liam is being noticed. He is learning on the job and we have the privilege of watching him develop as an outstanding manager. He is also one of us. Whatever happens this season we have progressed, as has Liam. If we fall short this season we wont next season. Nor will Liam.

Also for playing Slater when he’s rubbish, Zaroura and Calvalho when they are just here for an easy time, Coyle when he’s not good enough, Seri when he’s past it, Allsopp who is the worst goalie in the league……..
Some of the stuff on here is comical.

You’re right about the injury ‘robustness’. Even when we had a bit of a crisis around Christmas, it wasn’t the number of players injured (many teams had double figures), just happening to key players often in the same position and at the same time. There’s not a lot we can do about that within the rules of ffp.

And only possible because his previous passing around at the back had invited the press, and so created the space.
