I said it after Bristol City, and was half-joking, but I'll say it in all seriousness right now. It might be better for us to know our fate earlier rather than later. If Leeds pull away with several games to go, we can rest players for the playoffs. If we are scrapping them to the very end, we might carry too many key injuries and fatigued players into the post-season games. With our strongest team, we walk the playoffs. With even just one or two key players out, we will struggle.
Right - things: 1 - Well played Hull, and well played Liam Rosenior. Outthought and outfought us tonight. 2 - Please can we never play Smallbone and Rothwell in midfield again. 3 - Please can Brooks start over Adarma, who has looked knackered for the last five games. The difference in their play and quality was marked tonight. 4 - I only said "f**k off Manning" five times this evening, that's an improvement. 5 - There's a long way to go in this season still. 6 - God, I would love it if Leeds messed up. 7 - The Laundry Basket is never wrong. 8 - Shall I flex my thread muscles for Millwall?
I just don't understand the infatuation was messing about at the back, it'ts cost us so many goals this season and done nothing for my heart, I'm afraid teams have sussed us out, were so easy to play against.
Yep 7or arguably 6 out of 11 of the first team started. Come on Russell explain without bulls**t. A midfield designed to be bypassed. Could go on.. Hull better than Huddersfield hence we lost..
Think we showed second half though that they weren't the better team. Our team selection made them look like a Premier League side.
It’s fine to have a philosophy and play that way. But it’s infuriating when we’re clearly struggling and really being pinned back that we persist with dangerous play. It was obvious that we weren’t getting to half time only 1 goal down. You can see the goal coming a mile off but we carry on.
Loads better second half but hardly could have been worse and still didn't create much. Had we scored 5 minutes earlier we could well have nicked a point but it'd have been wholly undeserved. Baffles me why Charles didn't see any minutes tonight. He simply has to play that DM role while Downes is out. Congratulations to Hull. They were excellent. Would be a tough team to play in the play offs.
And only three points from the second slot. To be honest after our amazing run, something was bound to go wrong and let's hope this and the BC , game finally gets RM's head sorted out when he tinkers around. It's a blow but not a disaster and other teams will have their off days too.
They have the easiest run in and should win their next 7 or so on the spin, so could make second place their own. Don’t think they play a top 10 team until us, unless the table changes in the meantime.
