Eh? I’m saying others will find fault in him, not me. I want a united fanbase. I don’t want somebody who will alienate groups. I think he’d be a good fit. But he speaks the corporate waffle some hate. And he’s young, which many also hate.
Because I’ve witnessed a significant chunk have tissue rejection to Beale, and likewise to Speakman, even KLD. I want a head coach that will unite. personally I will back anyone appointed.
Who are these people that you are speaking of? Are you believing what you read on twatter and the internet?
I think if you saw too much personal abuse of Beale you follow the wrong people on Twitter, or hang around the wrong crowd
I’m not talking about personal abuse. I’m talking about people not being behind him. And we had significant chunks of fans not being behind him from the beginning. I want an appointment that will unite. I fear Still wouldn’t. And yes I’m basing my thoughts on what I see on here, what I’ve heard fans talking about at games, and to a much lesser extent twitter. I was at the Bristol City game when Beale had just been appointed but wasn’t in charge, and there was a large group of supporters next to me talking about how disastrous it would be. So don’t tell me it’s “just the internet”.
I wouldn't worry about trying to find a candidate that will unite ALL of our support. We could appoint Pep and someone would complain.
Surely it about personal opinion. I was anti Beale on his appointment and whilst I hoped he proved me wrong I guessed it would end the way it did although not so soon. It’s good we all have different opinions as this forum would be pretty bland otherwise. We all want a united team/ fanbase
I am not even sure if I knew who he was, but the same as any supporter hoped he did well. But what a terrible appointment, but now we will hate everyone according to some
I think that's me you're referring to, we butted heads when I asked for clarification as to how he came across as arrogance. I certainly didn't send torrents of abuse your way mate.
didn’t say we will hate everyone. Just that my gut tells me Still would evoke similar reactions to Beale. He speaks in a very similar way with very similar language. This is the problem with the internet tho like. You’ve taken me saying that I think Still won’t unite and exaggerated it to me saying that “we will hate everyone”. It’s disingenuous and unhelpful.
Well, for me and like you've said, had a couple of ropey hands with clubs in odd positions, and as a club, we clearly want younger managers, so at 45, he fits the bill. I don't know why, but I can see it as a good fit. It'll not happen, but I wouldn't say no. And to be honest, where do we go from here anyway, coach/manager wise I mean?
