better man than me I would’ve said **** the lot of yas Haven’t been online much last few days what’s this I’m hearing of a parody or burner account on twitter??
I still don’t understand how sacking Beale becomes proof that Speakman needs questions against him. Appointing him was the problem. Not sacking him. Sacking him proves Speakman cares more about the future of the club than what people think about him. If Speakman was the arrogant “God complex” person many accuse him off, he’d have persisted with Beale for much longer. Instead he’s admitted the failings and acted. We also seem to be acknowledging that the next appointment can not be rushed. Which is a good thing. Getting kinda fed up with this forum either having people who can see no good versus people who can see no wrong. It’s boring. The answer is almost always in the middle.
That's fine Smug it's all about opinions. We're never going to agree on everything. I was just thinking back to what has happened in the last couple of months, shaking my head as I was typing.
I find it incredible the joy people find in someone failing or having a difficult period in their life. I wish him well and hope he can rebuild his career somewhere. He's a relatively inexperienced manager who was given untold abuse and pressure from sections of our support almost immediately and never given a chance. He was on his own, no trusted assistant to bounce things off and family elsewhere. A week ago we'd played well and beaten Plymouth and two games later he's sacked. All very very strange
Just for the record, I can see plenty of wrong. I just don't see the point of repeating, a hundred times, that we need a striker, an 'Evans' and a more attacking approach ... ... there are already enough people posting that every twenty minutes. What I tend to do, probably annoying people in the process, is respond to the relentless tsunami of negativity and give the other side of the story. I just can't believe how hard it is, for some people, to grit their teeth and post something positive about our club ... ... we're not great but we're not that bad.
@RokerReport Jobi McAnuff on SSN: “I don’t think Beale will get another job at this level. He’s taking a young, energetic, vibrant team and dulled it down. He hasn’t made them any better. “I was surprised he got the #SAFC job [after leaving Rangers]. It’s a great job.”
Pundit Jobi McAnuff believes Michael Beale is the right fit for Sunderland. DEC 22nd, 2023 Beale was named as the Black Cats' new head coach on Monday, replacing Tony Mowbray, who was sacked earlier this month. The 43-year-old has been out of work since being dismissed by Rangers in October, and he was a surprise choice, with many supporters expressing reservations about his appointment. "I think this is a really clear example of a football club in Sunderland with a model, the way that they want to go about things in having a younger coach, and I really have to emphasise the word coach because he's been clear to do that in terms of the difference between that and managing. "I think what you cannot question about Mick Beale is that he's a fantastic coach on the grass, the question for me is, are you that number one? Are you the one who is going to lead that team and be successful?
To be honest mate, I take my hat off to the club for giving him a chance . You can't please all the people all the time and all that. And the man who makes no mistakes does fook arl. There may be more to it than just a decision based on results considering how soon he was sacked. Oh well, best of luck to him. And all the best for his little niece. Onwards and upwards.
This is good. I’ve noticed the same group of people that complain he does nothing are also the people acting like it’s a bad thing he wants to sell his shares . The complainers need to make their minds up.
That's what everyone keeps saying, although I've seen no proof ... ... even if he is, what's the problem?
There are 2 in particular who Mogga would not talk to, the Beal found out the same, pushing an agenda based on social media rumours.
