The entire point of a discussion forum is to discuss things. If you're giving opinions surely you have to give context, facts or whatever. You seem to always feel you're being jumped on and attacked, you post that quite often. These 'good old days of 606' have never existed btw, there's always been arguments ... ... many much worse than you see now.
Fair enough, again it's how I feel reading the board and I've had a lot of replies which I'm struggling to process at once
FFS. Do I need to quote your own post back at you ? You said there is no middle ground, and people were trying to score points. What did you mean by that if you weren't saying people were trying to score points against you ? Your post make it sounds like people were being unreasonable by debating with you, I dont see it. I've got absolutely nothing against you, and I'm happy to debate. Can't stand personal attacks, I'm just confused about what you're implying
For the 3rd time I'm struggling with the multiple comments, humble apologies for not being able to cope with that. As for how I feel, you ignored that for 2 weeks, whilst thinking I was another poster.
I get that, folk are just giving their opinion on what youve said. Dont worry about replying to folk tho mate as thatll just get overwhelming You made your points as they are your opinions, you didnt do it in a negative way you just said your opinion n your concerns - nothing wrong with that btw As i said earlier tonight its nice to hear others opinions. I personally dont agree with some of your opinions tonight but i also totally understand where you are coming from so def not be any falling outs with me mate
Sorry I feel like when my post is quoted that I should respond. Best I bale out as I'm not covering myself in glory and getting flustered.
It's been an emotional day for the fans, regardless of which side of the fence you're on . Have a sleep and bite to eat (that always helps me !) And come back tomorrow.
I don't see a problem with asking anyone to back up their claims. All I've done tonight is ask what these concerns are regarding the actual ownership of the club, i.e. shares, etc. Bob is making all kinds of wild claims, surely it's reasonable to ask for some back up or it's all just a jumble of words. If the owner of our club is really unaware of what's going on surely we should be told the facts. It seems KLD knew Beale was sacked whereas Bob didn't ... ... I'm just asking how that can be.
For me, the appointment just didn't feel right from the off. Was it Beales fault? No, he applied for the job, probably used the gift of the gab to get said job and got it. Was he wanted, probably not. However, the question needs asking, would all of these managers we've had that weren't allowed to bring their own backroom staff with then have done better? Pie in the sky question, but probably since Johnson it's been one bloke coming in and trying to get to know not only the players, but the coaching team. Anyway, All the best to Beale and his family, but it just didn't work. Daft to say after 12 games, but we've went slightly basket recently and it seems is a very important one. Experience clearly don't want to work under KLDs restrictions, Mowbray questioned it toward the end, along side some shocking performances got him the eventual boot.... so, where do we go next? Do we keep with the "do as we say" direction, or loosest the reigns, try and get a name of manager that's allowed some say?
Not getting into it now. As I've not long ago I've got flustered with the replies and not done myself any favours trying to reply to them so best I leave it and try and explain tomorrow in better terms
I think the conversation behind 'ambition' is a very interesting one. These days it seems to be a buzzword that gets chucked around almost as an insult towards fans who are quite happy, but in reality I think nearly everyone has ambitions of getting to the top but people have different views on how to get there. To me, KLD is 'ambitious'. We are in a deficit of around £8million in terms of transfers in our two years as a championship club and we are going about things in a way which has rarely been seen before at this level. In my own personal opinion that is an ambitious thing to do. But in the same breath I think it's very rare that owners aren't ambitious, even Donald was talking of the Premier League in his early days at the club. Short was very ambitious in the traditional sense that he put so much money into owning this club, he just failed to hire the correct people and it ultimately cost him a lot of money and cost the club its PL status. What I am trying to say is I wish people would use a better word other than 'ambitious' as I think it's a bit simplistic to say someone lacks ambition simply because you disagree with how the club is ran or how money is allocated.
I dont think all this is on results. Seems to have been bits and pieces coming out about Beale's relationship with the players, and also his relationship with those above him. Turns out he wasnt quite the yes man he was made out to be. They talked about perfect alignment only two months ago, which has seemingly gone downhill quickly. Question for the club is - should they have known this? Or did he sell himself well and turned out to be a wolf in sheeps clothing?
If you go through my posting history almost all of them will say 'edited' due to a horrendous spelling mistake I've made and not realised until later
Not many if any saying he was unfairly sacked. People are talking about the social media abuse he got before he had even started the job
Some people complain they're attacked simply for posting honest opinions ... ... calling a manager a mole-faced Cockney tosser, or whatever, is as far from an opinion as you can get. As is posting vague unsubstantiated guesswork as facts.
