Why, what's happening? You're claiming you know twice as much as the owner of the club. How does that work?
That no doubt will be twisted again into me being negative. We just sacked a coach after 12 weeks, our January window was iffy to say the least, we are "plodding" to the end of the season as described by our sporting director.
The majority of fans just want success, thats easier said than done. My opinion is trying something different is ambitious, doing something sustainable is sensible. I dont get where the distrust of KLD comes from tbh. We have been on the up since hes come in and i think hes been a great owner Slow n steady is the way to go, we have spent plenty of money so he is showinh ambition and hes investing in the right areas (academy n recruitment).
As I posted last week, I can see a sustainable club where the owner doesn't have to spend a penny. Not many will like it but its not a bad idea and would occasionally being success. Is that what everyone wants? I doubt it. But it's impossible to discuss as any negative towards the owner is jumped on as much as any positive is
Sorry, I thought you were talking about concerns about the actual ownership of the club ... ... what you're describing there are just operational issues. Fair enough, my mistake. I'm not jumping on you, it's just harmless questions.
Id say great is taking us from a bang average L1 team, with zero sellable assets to a team just outside the championship playoffs with some of the most exciting players weve had in a long time is great The beale appointment is a shocker, hes clearly trusted KS to get it right and it didnt work. Id say reacting to it and admiting a mistake is great leadership
Their is lots that make me feel like that. However my ambition for our club is very different to most. I'm at a real.crossroads in my suporting life, but am happy to see both sides and to the ambitious we are failing, to the slow and steady we are on course
To be honest, that is a reasonable ambition. And it's a much, much better position than we're in now and probably have been since the 1930s.
It can be discussed tho, if i disagree with someones opinion i can jump on it and give my thoughts as long as i dont cross any lines (which i havent) I want us to be successful and whats not to say this way is the best way for us to be successful? We have gone dwn plenty different routes in the past n they havent been sustainable, so lets try this way. The owner has spent, we had the 2nd net spend in the league last yr and we spent fees on most players in last 2 windows. He has put money into the academy and rhe backroom staff like recruitment n data analyst teams What would you want him to do to be classed as being ambitious
As has been pointed out previous. Yes we've sacked a manager quickly. But we've also had the appointment of Neil and of Mowbray. We've had the regeneration of the off field organisation. The January window was also decent imo. Lack of striker being the only negative. But I'm still at a loss at what proven and experienced striker was available to buy and wanted to come to us (which is outside of our control). Beale didn't work out. Club recognised this and had the balls to pull the plug. Mistakes happen and will always happen. We need to recognise that. The important thing is how they react to those mistakes and so far they've acted quickly and decisively imo. @Bob the Mackem As a manager at my company, I've worked with a fair share of people I didn't like personally, but are good at what they do. Sounds like you have a personal gripe with the club, shame you can't let go of it.
Sorry, can't cope with the replies and comments and don't really feel like falling out with anyone. I'd like it if 606 could go back to a place where things could be debated and discussed without trying to score points, anything negative has been jumped on (that's how it feels to me) and it seems to have lost its middle ground. We all want the same, just there are a few roads to get there.
Who the **** has made the debate with you personal or had a go at you? Everyone has made reasonable replies imo (unless I've missed one) . Norton said your point is fair, smug said we're all ambitious....
No one has, apart from you. Sorry for admitting I couldn't cope the replies or wanted to fall-out either anyone ffs
Theres no falling outs at all Nothing has been jumped on in a negative way, the whole point of a forum is to discuss different opinions. You made a point then i gave a different point of view, i didnt jump on your post other than sharing my opinion. Nothing wrong with that. People keeps saying negative posts get jumped on but so have positive posts. Thats going to happen all the time. We all post knowing others might disagree with our thoughts, nothing wrong with that as long as folk arent being attacked
