Same here although they can be both of course. We'll all have opinions, I just hope any signings aren't written off in the way they often are. Same applies to whichever manager we get.
I know a lot dislike what I post, but hey ho, The 1 thing that gets my goat is the fact we reacted stupidly getting Beal in. Then to profess he is the bright new coach on the scene. He obviously is not. But it proves 1 thing, Kristjaan Speakman is not what he thinks he is. A talent spotter, take away Stu H and I bet his true colours will show. I've known him since day 1, and got on ok with him. But a comment from TM made my mind up. We were all wrong and he would prove me wrong just to make him look the man. Kyril doesn't even know half what's gone on. I now firmly believe Kristjaan is a bluffer riding on the back of Stu H, and his team of scouts. TIN HAT ON, good night I'm in bed early start.
So you dislike KS? A bit like you saying Beale isn't the bright new coach, your dislike for KS isn't exactly bright new news
I heard a while ago that theres stuff happening behind the scenes with santori's shares. Think a couple have backed that up on here so hope its sorted one way or another
Well, players who have done it at this level and some more experience is needed imo. Feel the model needs a tweak if we’re to have any chance of a promotion push any time soon.
No but dislike his aura and finally see him for what he is, thats from his latest statement, it's just another dodge the bullet time, and he will keep Doddsy in place. It's the power he wealds.
Absolutely huge summer for the club. Firstly, the correct head coach appointment is crucial. Don't care if they are in work or not (Palace just picked up the Europa League winner of 2 years ago and he was out of work). So many coaches will become available at the end of the season and it's crucial we get the new coach in as early as possible to give them a full pre season. Plenty of exciting names around football at the moment, just hope it's someone that gets fan and player buy in. It's a big summer in terms of transfers as well. As controversial and upsetting for some it may be, it's time we sell a player for big bucks. Without parachute payments the only way we can compete at the top end of this league is by selling and reinvesting. Selling a player for big money will allow us to shop in a market above where we currently can, we currently shop in the market for players under 3million, a big sale will allow us to target players in the 7million range. That is a huge jump in quality. The club have done a great job with contracts. The only contract i'm currently concerned about is Rigg. Evans and Dack are the only senior players with expiring contracts in 2024, then only Embleton, Alese and Huggins contracts expire in 2025. Any key player that leaves will be leaving on our terms and that is so crucial for us, and isn't something we've been able to say in the past. I have no idea on the supposed ownership situation currently. I like KLD and hope he doesn't leave, however I do hope someone from the outside buys Sartoris shares. If this is to happen I want it to happen between now and May. No Summer distractions please. I think we will see a big change in the off the field operations. New kit deal supposedly with Hummel, rumours that Fanatics will be running the club shop, the new hire in the ticket office hopefully starts to make significant changes and hopefully we start to see changes that Bruce has brought in. With the new FFP rules we absolutely need to be making as much revenue as possible. Huge summer.
I've given and continue to give a huge benefit if the doubt, I actually agree with their aim. However there are issues that make me wonder a lot if it is misplaced optimism
Kld is doing great imo, considering the timescale and where we were and who we had before he took over.
Speakman is the man that brought harvey in, speakman is the one who makes final decisions not harvey (so the successes should be down to Speakman not just the things that go wrong), Speakman is the one who picked neil n TM, so he does deserve credit and i dont think hes a bluffer Has he got things wrong, absolutely he has but all sporting directors do. Its about learning from those mistakes and improving. Lets hope hes learned from it. Speakman will always be like marmite, some will really like him n some will hate him. Imo the trajectory of the club has been on the up since hes come in and the footballing side of the business has been mostly really positive
I don't believe the owners ambition matches the vast majority of fans. I don't believe the ownership have any real interest in the fans and their feelings. You will argue that as everything in your word is great. We have done this dance a couple of times now, as I have said tonight people are allowed a different option to everything is great
