I definitely feel for him. Was doomed to fail and it was clear from the moment it leaked and the fans reacted how they did. Not saying it’s the fans fault, just that in hindsight the club should probably have read the room then.
What's really pleasing, out of this testing time, is that this was probably decided at Birmingham ... ... perhaps even before. The players going in on Sunday turned out to be what we thought it might be. But, to the credit of the club it was handled properly and not leaked. I'd been asked on Saturday if I'd heard anything by an RTG lad who'd heard a rumour. So I messaged the newspaper journalist I know who'd heard nothing, although he did say 'we're not big news any more', the tosser. Bob the Mackem had heard nothing, etc. I suspect the players have been using Beale's presence as an excuse but Dodds knows them all ... ... if they have done that, the excuse has just left the building.

Well it's all over now. He's gone. It's now time to focus on the lads and get behind them and to give our full support to Dodds to get them playing well again build confidence until the end of the season and see where we end up. Pointless dissecting things to much. Mistakes have probably been made but it's behind us now. Let's start focusing on the future again.

People on this board will have lost their jobs and got next to nothing in compensation. The mistake made here was not getting a decent replacement lined up for Mowbray and appointing this bloke, I have no sympathy at all for him
Yeh actually I don’t necessarily feel sorry for him. More that I have empathy that he was in a difficult situation. But it was a situation he wanted to be in and backed himself to succeed in, and he didn’t.
Shortest tenure of any permanent gaffer for us. Ever. Says it all how bad of an appointment it was. Onwards and upwards. Dodds will at least have the players on board. We won't make play offs but they have time to sort the board stuff out whilst working out who the best man is
Lost the players, lost the fans.... Only ends one way. Let's take our time and find someone better than him next time and start afresh in the summer.
