Hopefully it doesn’t do much damage to the young players that we might want to leave in the summer if he’s still around? Have they got a plan with rig, is he just gaining experience in the squad now to be an important player next year? Should have had more minutes the last two games imo

No guarantee he's here next season. If he isn't getting a game over Ekwah in his current form I think he may think his future elsewhere.

Whether Beale intentionally blanked Hume or not, and only he will know that, it shows how how many fans are feeling towards the club at the minute. Every little thing is scrutinised and I’m sure this wouldn’t have gained as much attention had the performances been up to scratch.

Beale must feel like he is walking on eggshells but he can’t be surprised that’s the case. He will know the next game is a must win, or at the least a very much improved performance. His social media post on the matter just confirms he is feeling the pressure to me.

For what it’s worth I’m going to believe him on this instance.

I must say Prehab, I doubt that a bloke that lives in Manchester and up his own arse will have been conversing with anyone up here. Add to that, he only didn't go through with a move to Newcastle United from Sunderland because his family talked him out of it, so his opinion on Sunderland means as much to me a Chris Suttons. But I get what you're aiming at.

If his explanation is he didn’t see him, I trust if he has a driving licence, he advises the DVLA immediately that his sight/field of vision is such that they should revoke his licence.

I think Rigg will be gone in the summer and can’t blame the kid. Newcastle are definitely sniffing around but think he will go elsewhere.

Ekwah is a tricky one as he’s being told to play deep but that’s definitely not where he should be. This all stems from not having a proper (fit) defensive midfielder in the squad, and an experienced one at that.

He's 16ffs. Which 16 year old.starts games at this level. Jude Bellingham and that's it..stop being so dramatic. He's doing great,.getting opportunities but the worst thing we could.do is rush a bairn before he's ready

But we are stunting his development by taking him to first team games and having him sat on the bench for 90mins when he could've been playing for the u21s this afternoon.

If you are good enough you are old enough. Birmingham trusted Jude to play a lot of minutes but we are preventing Rigg from playing any minutes for either the first team or the u21s. Another case of mishandling a player.

I don’t expect him to start at all, would like to see him come on as a sub a bit more…but that would probably mean taking Jobe off which seems to be against the rules.

Don’t think I’m being dramatic mind.

I've logged back in and got as far as this post.
I'm not going to slag you off, call you a nob etc. and I appreciate your points of view.
I'm not a massive Beale fan but believe he hadn't had a fair crack of the whip when he came in.
I still think it's too early to wield the axe. But,,,, if that is a proper snub on Hume and a taste of what's to come then the writing will be on the wall .

The big problem for me if he is an egotistical bell whiff is the fact we got rid of Tony to recruit him.

I'd like him to do well as I do with all managers of us.

I'm just thankful we aren't in a relegation battle at the moment.

Sorry mate, but what Beale did in snubbing Hume isn't a great look for anyone and rightly us being discussed.

Weather you wanted Beale or not, what he did today was disgraceful

Even from a PR standpoint, the SoL or the away end would be buzzing if Rigg was named in the lineup. I'll be furious if he leaves and it comes out it was because of lack of opportunities.

Next season will be his breakthrough season. The club know what they are doing. I'm sure he'll.get more opportunities here than anywhere else. Can you imagine him starting for the Mags this season?

'im not a Beale outer by any means

But after watching that incident with Hume it really angered me

OK Hume had committed a couple of fouls beforehand and was on his way to a red card

But FFS, even if Beale was annoyed with him, he should have least offered him his hand.

Beale is well aware of the contempt that some SAFC fans have against him and in ignoring Hume has only added fuel to the fire imo.

    Prognosis not good

I mean they are playing Miley consistently in top end PL and Champions League games so honestly yeah. Rigg doesn't even get a sniff against ****ing Huddersfield.

My thoughts exactly. In august 2022 we were saying finish top half, we’ll win some , some well and enjoyable , and we’ll lose some , some badly and annoyingly, but happy to consolidate. Then if last season was now , we’d be happy with steady progress.
The blame is all on whoever got the calendar wrong .

The club don't know what they are doing in so many areas clearly - they've made a woeful appointment who's sucked the life out of the fan base, is alienating players and taking us backwards.
Unsurprisingly given he had rangers 3rd in in a 2 horse race and hasn't managed a full season anywhere. It was so obvious it was easy to discount him as a candidate for the job but somehow speakman has fallen for this chancer - maybe he's one himself and gravitated towards similar ilk.
Speakman has massively messed this up.
