Sorry, rambling through some old music memories here. Anyone else here for this one? Rare appearance of Kraftwerk on these shores. It was unreal. Folk from all over the world. This was an encore which was a brand new track. I was right at the front, and Orbital were on a cherry picker next to us. They were on next in a big tent but werent going anywhere. This was kraftwerk. I went to see Orbital next and they were in bits emotinally. Kraftwerk man, music gods. By some fluke I wandering across rhe site at 3am looking for a cup of tea. Ralf Hutter in front of me buying tea too. We chatted for 30 seconds and shook hands. Legend.
Came across this clearing up my files, great days and it was like this month after month for the 11 years I worked there.
To try and liven the mood up a bit tonight, been watching music from the 90s that the wife loves, not my cup of tea really, I'm more of an 80s lad myself. Love listening to the ska stuff, Madness, Bad Manners, Selector and the like. Early 80s to 86 I suppose was a good era for me music wise and it went downhill a bit for me after that although you got the odd time now again I could listen to. These days I wouldn't have a clue who had a record out if they hit me over the head with it! Listen to the old stuff in the radio too when I'm in car flicking between stations with 80s stuff on. Anyone else from the same era music wise?
