Forgot , this’ll be disputed but Slater kept Sorba pretty quiet first half and contributed a fair bit Thought Jacob was a bit shaky whe he came on but he got better and he’s got a pass in him.
A dull pedestrian game? Crikey that’s not how it felt in the away end. Anyway… Greaves Philogene Slater
Greaves Tufan I’ve said this now for 2 weeks in a row. Our away support really make a difference. They are the difference between home performance and the away performance . The players must sense the passion. “Hull City Away”. I salute you all
Greaves - Captain’s performance and some. Defended heroically and then popped up with two very different but equally important goals at either end of the game. Superb! Tufan - Another excellent hard working performance from Ozan, with some nice touches as usual. Slater - Thought he looked very comfortable at right back and the loss of Morton to injury, which brought about him being moved into the holding midfielder spot, also coincided with the change in the balance of the game. I think Slater did a reasonable job in there but it’s far from his best position, although I think right back might well turn out to be. Unfortunately, Jacob struggled on his wrong side and Thomas really made hay while he was there, although Coyle didn’t fare much better but clearly isn’t 100%. There were a few other decent performances but Omur looks like the real deal from what we’ve seen so far and hopefully will start on the right on Tuesday with Jaden switching to the left and Zaroury dropping out.
Greaves Tufan Slater. (His run towards the corner flag for the winning goal opened up space for Omur's cross)
Greaves Tufan Jones (not easy to pick the third, it could easily have been Philogene, Allsop, or Omur).
Greaves Tufan Jones Greaves just put in an all timer career defining performance. One that really stamps his authority of a top top operator in the championship, as important as Jaden.
Surprised at the votes for Jones, thought he wasn't terrible, but made a few gaffes that could have led to goals if not for Allsop's and Giles' efforts.
Nah fair play, everyone sees it different. I'm sure plenty (yourself included no doubt ) scoffing at Allsop getting votes.
I put Jones second and thought he and Greaves were by far the top two, because of how well they defended all the balls in our box all game, but until you mentioned it I'd totally forgotten about him calamitously giving the ball away near our goal line in the second half.
