As said above I know. Point I was trying to make was it’s not normally the case when the home side allows the away team to kick towards the opposing fans second half. City choose to do it for reasons said but for me it’s still arse about face.
We had a proper DJ in Ben Rainey then for some reason the club appointed the new guy because he requested on twitter he was given a chance. Since then we have a second rate jock playing crap before the game. The point is to pump the crowd up
But DJ Eddie who is popular with da kidz who inhabit X and other social media haunts, which Acun manages and uses well - not places like 'football forums' which are not the future - look at photos of the celebrations the other night, (& chunks of north stand) mainly young 'kids' teenagers etc, probably why suggestions on here would fall on deaf ears going forward...
That's not actually true, but it was the narrative at the time. We did it for the Blackpool and Sunderland home games which were both frustrating 1-1 draws, which is why it's remembered as us losing games. But in both games we got the equalisers in the second half in front of the North stand, so in a sense it did work. I remember at the time it was a hot topic and some people were saying it hadn't worked, and I couldn't really see how that made sense at the time.
The north side of west stand get very animated when an opponent is taking a corner there. Maybe need to learn the rules. If they saved that noise for other parts of the game, we’d be fine.
I think they're just having a laugh. For one game, the ref kept coming over to check the ball was in the quadrant every time that corner made a fuss about it, they started just doing it at every corner from them on. Refs seem to have caught onto it now so they don't bother. Kind of impressive speed of adaptation by the officials to be fair.
One of the best games I ever saw, I used to have the HDM clipping with the photo of Sir Billy on it with the caption "Billy Whitehurst grins as the winner goes in' on the wall of the office where I worked - sadly gone now (both the clipping and the office block)
The 3-2 against Derby was by far my favourite game. It had everything, red card, amazing comeback, electric atmosphere, pitch invasions, Billy Whitehurst. Shame that there’s no video of it.
first game i'd missed in ages due to very unhappy g/f requesting and getting my company in other city. she eventually buggered off abroad with barsteward off her course.
I thought that was (possibly) our first season in the Premier at KC? Taking the piss out of (?) 'rent boy rent boy'... 'The Theatre of Hate' (not the band)
Yeah.maybe it was a theatre rather than a cauldron. But YP definitely originally used the term for the Kempton, around about that era.
https://vm.tiktok.com/ZGeSbUPXq/ Know he’s not everyone’s cup of tea but I agree with Micah Richards about Philogene’s goal. The goal itself is great but the fact he even attempted it in a midweek game when we’re 1 nil down, knowing the fans might be getting agitated given Rotherham are bottom of the league and we played poorly against Swansea just shows his confidence and class. Yeah, Mbappé might be world-class but can he score a rabona on a cold Tuesday night in Rotherham?
