was going to watch the full 90 again, hoping i might see 'something' to offer hope but after reading posts and opinions it seems that would be 90 minutes wasted. right now i am hoping evans is back in the side very soon, while neil is doing a good job in there and at times plays like a man half a dozen years older/experienced having a someone in the mville mode actually helps the forwards, they know their backs are covered and can go express themselves, the rest of the midfield can play further forward as well...think workyticket was thr first to mention that ekwah/jobe/neil were basically three lads doing one job and probably the most accurate description of the night, having that CDM would allow the other two lads to play forward where they usually look much better. i am always expecting to see a couple of passes go astray but the amount this squad balls up is mental, and this is something that has happened for quite a while...i am not writing anyone off mind, anyone can see there is a good squad of players and management at the club, i just hope beale is the one to fine tune the players.
Seems I did the right thing having a Valentine's meal with my wife instead of watching what sounds like utter dross. The feel good bubble from the Plymouth game well and truly burst by all accounts. I suppose the one positive is we couldn't possibly play that bad again on Saturday.... ...could we?
Missed the match last night and after seeing the comments on here and social media decided to give the whole thing a miss but watching the highlights today it didn’t seem as disastrous as many are making it out to be. Bad performance? Yes, but we could have easily come out with something from the game.
It was a very strange game all round. It no sooner started than it finished and neither side really woke up. I'm already looking at Saturday believing it can't be that bad again.
Football is all about opinions. I’m not sure who is trying to lecture you but that certainly wasn’t my intention. I voiced a fair and constructive opinion, based on the performance and my thoughts of the current state of the club. That’s what the forum is for, to voice opinions, the good and the bad, of which I try to do both. I hope Micheal Beale succeeds at the club and goes on to be the best manager in the history of our club. I would get no joy in him being sacked and us missing out on the playoffs. Just because I think he and Bellingham are not good enough, it doesn’t mean I don’t want them to succeed. I would love them to.
My son turned to me half way through the first half and said this has Rotherham game written all over it - well he was correct but at least we got a point at Rotherham.
To be honest, it’s up to me when I post. I’ve posted plenty of positive stuff regarding the club. I’ll always back the club. I like the current direction the club is travelling in. I like the owner, I love the fact we have homegrown players in the side. And the football under Tony Mowbray was up there with the best I’ve ever watched. Im not personal with my criticism, I try to keep it fair and constructive. If you don’t like it, just read on, I’m sure there’s plenty of other comments for you to like.
This isn't just me saying this, or you they're saying it to ... ... but it's clear some people post very little until there's a loss. That's their choice, of course, but it does make people wonder about their leanings or motives. And, in your case, it's not just an opinion on the match, it always seems like a litany of moans about the entire club. What you post is your choice, of course, and how people respond is theirs.
Feels like Brum is make or break for play offs to me. Of course mathematically that is daft to say. But after the next 2 games we have a very tough run and a lot of our remaining away games are tricky.
Would agree but I think, deep down I sacked that off when the window closed due to the lack of experience brought in. Still maintain it with be a 10-14 place finish.
If we do end up cut adrift which I really hope we don’t, we need to start blooding in the likes of seelt, Mundle, pembele, rigg, adil and hemir more, ready for next year, not saying start them all but regularly getting them 30mins per game
