I hear they've packed up all their prior trophies so st Harry and Dire don't cry every morning on the way into training
Palace about to sack Hodgson https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68303964 Frankly they should have had on a short term for the end of last season and found someone in the summer, could have been a fresh start post-Zaha.
Hodgson apparently about to get sacked an hour later taken to hospital after falling ill Palace can’t sack him now look like right ****s. Or it’s a massive plan for him to retire due to ill health and let everyone come out of it positive
I actually hope that’s what he does Always seemed a nice guy and like it or not - he is one of our own
he was a "nice old man" 14 years ago. he was 62 joining us. he is 76 now. ferguson is on deaths door just about. he's 82. he must absolutely love watching people kicking ball about.
Like I said the other day - it must be in his blood and he can't let it go. He doesn't need the dosh, it must be that he can't conceive of anything else to occupy him. Football and small defenceless rodents are his life.
I assume he has children/grandchildren? Maybe even great grandchildren. You’d think would rather be enjoying seeing them grow up at his age.
Well, apparently not - otherwise that's what he would be doing. No-one is twisting his arm to remain in football.
I don't intend to become a zombie living only for grandchildren when I'm old. I'll retire as soon as I financially can but I'm not just going to become a side character in my own life just because I'm old. I'm sure Roy doesn't want to be either. If Roy wants to keep working, and clubs want to keep signing him... So be it
That's one point of view. Another is why give your last healthy years to other people's children and grandchildren when you've got your own who love you and need you a whole lot more. As an older person I can say that the joy of being with your children and grandchildren can't be surpassed. Once you've given your job your best years why not indulge yourself in your later years. It's true that being with children keeps you young and on your toes. I can't imagine turning down a walk in the park, kicking up leaves, swinging your little ones, playing knights and dragons and rescuing princesses for a day in the office. On a separate but related note, I think Klopp will give 'retirement' a good go but he's still too young and has more to give so may well end up in another football role before he's really ready to give it all up.
I really think he will be on the beach and do a bit of punditry. that man knows how to enjoy himself. he is after all 56 and really ok thats 9 years before he might need to retire but he can now travel the world or whatever as he has at least 50mil in the bank and doing a few pundit gigs will easily keep that topped up. he will do germany someday but not yet. thats not a full time job.
