Great comeback and thankfully Taylor was reactive instead of passive by hooking Baggott and changing formation. Hopefully we’ll see some of that fighting spirit when we next play at home.
I personally like the 4 2 3 1 formation , four at the back and two midfielders supporting them and four naturally attacking forward players. He criticised them for not being strong enough well last night proved that given a fair crack of the whip they are and it is just the tactics which need sorting out
We seemed more solid with four at the back v Stevenage - we didn’t concede - and our attacking players found more space. Hopefully we’ll start with this formation v Northampton as three at the back just isn’t working with the current squad.
yesterday result was a great surprise, but, when you read more you get the feeling that the Conteh from Grimsbury has some of the boxer of a similar name, and I think of Dave Macay and Nobby Stiles about him. he suggests that he is playing for the team and therefore will suffer the referees opinion. I do wonder with all the training/coaching from young, playing on good surfaces may give some the wrong impression What did satisfy almost as much as the result was the lack of a smile on Steve Evans face. He always suggests that the Rovers are easy target
He commented yesterday or the day before that this was a good time to be playing Rovers as they were in a bad run of form, wonder what would happen if we ever get a good run of form
