Norwich prepare for battle once again, this time midweek against Watford. Watford have been somewhat of a bogie team for Norwich with 2 wins in 11 games and the last draw in the fixture came way back in 2011.Norwich sit in 8th and Watford in 11th, but as always it is so close go on a run and you will be propelled into the playoffs or lose and you go into mid table mediocrity

    Form
    Norwich DWLWW
    Watford LLDDW

Can Sargent play twice in a few days, will Sydney get a start? How is Rowe's hamstring? All these questions and more will be answered by the club closer to the time

Norwich City head coach David Wagner has been speaking to the media ahead of the Canaries' game against Watford on Tuesday (19.45 GMT).

Here are some of the key points:

    • Wagner confirms Jonathan Rowe has a hamstring injury and will have a scan on Monday. He is definitely out of Tuesday's game against Watford

    • The head coach said he has plenty of options in forward areas and is being careful with the workload put on Josh Sargent

    • Defender Jack Stacey has recovered from illness and is fully fit. He almost missed the draw at QPR with a sickness bug

    • Centre-back Grant Hanley played against QPR but Wagner says they are keeping an eye on him, the Scotsman has missed most of the season through injury

    • Wagner said he's happy with the substitutions he made on Saturday in the QPR draw. Some fans criticised the head coach's game-management for that fixture

    • On Sydney van Hooijdonk: Wagner said the club need to take their time with integrating him. "People need to calm down", he says

    • On Watford: "After the away game (which Norwich lost) I am really looking forward to playing them again, they are a top team on the level of Leeds, Southampton and West Brom"

Sargent came off after 70 minutes at QPR, so he should be able to play at least 60 minutes this time in such a key game. Rest him against Cardiff if need be, but as Zog says, every point is crucial now.

They've still got Rowe in our starting XI so who knows how accurate Watford's line up is.

True. They failed to do due diligence or it was done before Rowe's injury was revealed. Andy Head's article gives a better picture of the potential Watford lineup.

Yeah I understand not risking Hanley as he is just back from Injury and it might be a bit much to ask him to play again after the weekend, but what must Batth be thinking?

I’d much rather Sargent start over Syd at the moment. He’s very much an unknown quantity as yet

Is Batth still lacking fitness after his recent injury?

Or McLean at CB and Sorensen in DM. Curious what the preference will be.

Probably what Batth was already thinking ' Wagner doesn't rate me or trust me and I will be on my way in the summer'
