I think a lot have forgotten what an utterly sh1t place we were in. S2 doesn’t show everything that was bad but people should watch it anyway to get a bit of perspective on where we are now.
It has declined steadily over the years to the point where it’s absolutely toxic. When you’re in the bubble you don’t even realise it. Roger has decided a Twitter style mile high bin fire gets people reading more than honest debate. The mods encourage horrendous behaviour and the stink gets everywhere. When posters routinely make personal attacks on each other, KLD, Speakman and Beale don’t stand a chance.
Some seem incapable of making a critical post on the appropriate thread and leaving it there ... ... any subject is used as a vehicle to make the exact same criticism until it spreads onto virtually every thread. Then, when they get a reaction, they act all horrified and say people are trying to deny them an opinion. And some of it is absolutely illogical and insane, 'Get KLD out!!!' ffs, what does that even mean. This forum is miles better than most imo, the fanzines and RTG seem to want clicks above anything else. Football's supposed to be fun, not the toxic mess some swim around in.
They've just been saying on Radio Newcastle that the whole thing ends with Ian Wykes (hope I've spelled the gentlemans name correctly)funeral.
I'm in between episodes 2 and 3. Reflections so far: Loved the bits with O'Nien, Gooch, Roberts and Clarke. Really humanised them all, and made me sad Gooch has gone Really enjoyed seeing KLD and just dont understand why some want him gone Nick Barnes annoys me greatly

Your last point is controversial but I completely agree. I appreciate he’s been reporting on the lads a long time, his partner is a MLF and his match notes are beautifully illustrated But… His tweed suits and the way he goes on brings to mind a ‘guest star appearance’ on BBC’s Father Brown Mysteries
