Yeah I can imagine he wouldn't let the crutches get in the way of being on the training ground, and that he would be frustrated over limited funds going forward.

'our financial position'..... and the reason our financial position was........?
    Yes Covid.
Do you think a bloated squad that no other club wanted to pay money for was a contributing factor ?

Subsequently in the out season he would have been able to sort his issues and come back fighting fit. Sad really thought the club was heading in the right direction-however if you own the club and put millions in it is your toy to do as you wish.

Manning seems a decent chap and i back him next season will be a big one for him-does he push us on from Nige that will be the big question ?

In season 1, yes, less so season on season. If you don’t think Covid played a part, then there is no reasoning with you…

What was the squad size the day LJ departed to the day NP departed? You and others keep saying it was a bloated squad, which it probably was, especially after Covid when the transfer market and income disappeared.
Any manager could have done what Nige did though, all he did was let their contracts run out, and then work with the finances and squad he had. Given his deep experience as a manager, I feel he only do an ok job, managers at Luton, PNE, Cov and Millwall all had less experienced managers, and similar, or smaller budgets/squads and all performed far better than us during Nige’s tenure. That disappointed me, and while I didn’t want him sacked, I do feel the board got it right. I felt the same with LJ and SC before him as well.

Supcon, comprehension is not your strongest suit.

To be fair he did build a squad, and you answer your own Q in red above!
Points deduction? arbitory! There were a whole load of "pro's & con's" from EFL side and club side that were needing to be addressed. The covid era caused a lot of in depth exploration and acknowledgement to the situation. It covered 2 halves of 2 seasons, and the consequences were layered on financial plans /lack of finance / players values etc. BCFC DIDNT ACTUALLY have in progress a "a plan" to exceed, or hide financial over spends or risks .. a couple did and have paid the penalty .............
Will Agree with the way things needed to be done..from an EFL way of thinking ..."adjust the way forward on players wages and costs etc " .. a big problem was that a player who may have been sold on for £10m say would now only attract a bid of say £5 -7m players less than a value of £2-3m almost nil!

must say "comprehension " is a tad lacking in your visualization of the situation!

I hear Atkinson was injured again today, probably out for the rest of the season.

Ah, sorry, I thought you were being sarcastic, as you’ve dismissed COVID as a reason when I’ve raised it before. I apologise

You know I’m gonna call it!!!
All that was supposed to be fixed when LJ and MA left the building. It was all on them a few years ago according to the ‘majority’ on here.
It was utter tosh then, as it is now, every side has injury issues with players.

We do seem to have a lot though, I’m wondering it the new pitches have anything to do with it, aren’t the HPC pitches the same as AG ?

Not the least surprised. In fact, I couldn’t believe it was down for 3pm on a Sat in the first place. We never play them at that time, ever.

Not sure tbf, confidence is a good thing, but arrogance isn’t, it’s a fine line. Wanting away in January was not a good look for me, hopefully I’m wrong.
