The second race at Lingfield (14:25), a Class-4 Novices' Hurdle over 2m on the expected soft ground (raining atm in the Lingfield area), gives the promising Sea The Moon gelding, Yellow Star, a decent chance to open his account.Trainer has two in the race, so hopefully have not picked the wrong one! Fair performer on the Flat, and ran well in his debut at Kempton 31-days ago to finish third. Niall Houlihan rides for the Gary Moore stable. 11/4 best price, in most places, on both the ATR and Oddschecker sites at time of writing.

Phew, that was a close one, but Yellow Star stuck it out gamely to win at 13/8 SP. Counted jockey Niall Houlihan used the whip 6-times, just one under the maximum 7 allowed in NH jump racing. Correction welcomed if I have got this wrong in any way. Thanks.
