BREAKING NEWS: coming from Fabrizio Romano, The Reds are looking for a successor to Jurgen Klopp, who surprisingly announced in January that he will depart Liverpool at the end of the current campaign. Reported by Fabrizio, Xabi Alonso has agreed with Liverpool to be the new head coach next season as he has his heart set on leading the Reds. He said " in as much as I love where I am now and the competition is high here when I was called upon I couldn't reject the offer Liverpool has a special place in my heart and I'm ready to take up from where he Jurgen Klopp left". Whether true remains to be seen
That's a shame. If Romano is saying Xabi Alonso has agreed to come to us, that almost certainly means Xabi has refused us. Romano is usually wrong.
reads like made up bullshit to me Doesn't mean it won't happen but thats just him lobbing it out there early to look like he is in the loop if it does
nobody will remember that tweet of it doesn't happen as nobody ever remembers anything a week later now.
The important question that nobody seems to be addressing is: how good is Alonso at hugging? Our players are accustomed to good hugs. I hope FSG get any managerial candidate to give them hugs before agreeing to any interviews
some more likely rumours arising about klopp. building a mansion project in mallorca, where as a good German he can put his towel out very early (3am for him) and then not find a brit on his sun bed when he strolls out for breakfast at 2pm. ulla is also working a project near the new grandkids as another big mansion. so forget the clubs round Europe, he is going home to be a granddad.
I don't get to watch that much footie these days (other than LFC) but I've tried to catch a few Leverkusen games and they really do look well drilled / coached. Xabi is doing a remarkable job there and I've really enjoyed watching them play - it's rare to see such a mix of quality possession with fast transitions. As much as the news of Klopp leaving was devastating, I am also really positive to see what the future brings, especially if we bring in a talented coach like Xabi.
Haha yep. But at least I get to watch the Reds via affordable streaming packages as opposed to the £100+ Sky package.
every cloud mate hope you and yours enjoy yourself out there but i advise staying away from the Carolinas as there are some right weirdos down there
