Wouldn’t tinker with that side to much for Wednesday, maybe Anderson or Smyth for Willock, really can’t see us going down with this side & how strong the bench is now, so different from months ago
I gather Hayden has had a number of bad injury problems not so long ago, knees I think, and it maybe too risky to ask him to start 3 games in a week. If true Field may well be back Wednesday.
It is true, Bruges sent him back to Newcastle in January after getting pissed off with his knee issues !
Hayden supposedly said Bruge weren't paying him! He looked good Saturday! Marti said he was just taken off as a precaution after getting cramp.
Could have gone either way..... it was a nervy last 20 minutes (7 added on at the end).... a good point in the end.
That sums up really well the stomach churning of watching the game on Saturday.... almost from behind the sofa type of thing..... It was such a dreadfull afternoon weather wise that Mrs T and I got through a bottle of Baileys that had been in the chill cabinet since Christmas.... that helped the nerves a tad......
Especially given that Field, a good shield but always struggling to use possession progressively, has been way off his best for a long time now.
