I can't see why he would tell a whopper. Totally pointless, what's in it for him? He's only been at the club a few days. I won't be jumping tp any conclusions, just wait and see how it pans out.
Is it a lie though ? If Dobson has told him he has got a tight calf whilst the finishing touches are put onto his contract in Hungary, then Jones could argue that as far as he is concerned Dobson is still waiting to return to training. I doubt Jones would have been involved in any of the details of Dobsons move, so he may not know at what stage it’s at and in the meantime he presumes that Dobson is still ours (which he probably is) so can justify saying what he has. Of course the whole thing might be boll*x - it wouldn’t after all, be the first time that 200% information has leaked from elsewhere which turns out to be false. Let’s see where we are on 15th February.

Absolute fiasco. It now seems we pulled the plug on signing tomorrow until the 1st June/July. Dobbo is hardly going to pull up trees and risk injuries. Cawley is saying one thing and contrary to what Jones is. Dobson is meant to be in Hungary now! Wtf is going on is anybody's guess.
it makes Andy Scott look quite a prat. he's single handidly going to send us down with his failures at player and manager recruitment and retention. the owners should want him strung up.
So we haven't sold Dobson. He goes to Hungary as a free agent on July 1st. Am I anywhere near understanding this story yet?

It does look a bit fake. But if I recall the EFL embargos that we suffered soon after ESI took over the Club never appeared on the OS. Hardly inconsequential.
