I cannot for the life of me understand why, if they have us worked out on the wings, that we don't switch it around and go down the middle? We seem obsessed with dicking around at the back, bringing on trouble rather than moving it forward quickly when we've drawn their players and then IT MUST go to the wings, where they clearly had a plan to counter that. Regan Slater, a player I like, was really not in the game and not linking up effectively at all - mind you Morton wasn't that much better. I know Doc has no end product, but he will make charging runs down the middle, put in a big tackle or two and offer some options. Also, for the life of me, how do you put three centre fowards on the bench and then start with a false 9? I take nothing away from Tufan, who had a good go at it. I am seriously and deeply baffled by yesterday's game and tactics.
