It's not at all being negative calling that performance ****. But those scrambling to justify prior unfounded bias based on a bit of an anomoly performance immediately after quite a bit of squad churn as something they identified months ago is a bit of a laugh. Especially as the chief protagonists had us down for mid table. Then don't bother to subscribe to Acun's official output stating that '8th will be progress and we'll go again next year' to create some sort of imagined pressure that it's **** or bust. We lost a game. **** happens.
Disagree on this. When he gets the ball, he goes forward and plays with speed. He had a quieter game this time, and did give the ball away a couple of times before being taken off. But certainly wasn’t the worst for it and again, it was Carvalho who should have been taken off IMO. I think we’ll be saying that Zaroury and Omur were the two best additions of the January window by the end of the season. Time will tell.
We have seen games like this before, the problem for the beginning was the player's mindset. With the quality we have now, I think they thought this would be an easy game, they never are. They underestimated Swansea who started much better than they expected, and after conceding the goal we never wrestled back the initiative. We allowed Swansea to gain confidence, and once they realised they had us on the back foot, they never let up. Credit to them, they pressed the life out of us, and we were never allowed to get a foothold in the game. Very few positives in the game Allsop made some good saves, Greaves and Jones did okay, and Ronaldo for them, who I heard was quite good, proved to be a thorn in our side all game. Jaden tried hard, but tried to do too much, Omur caught the eye though, he at least did well when he came on, as did Sharp. A game to quickly put behind us, and hopefully will see a reaction Tuesday.
How much do we miss Seri? Is he a big piece in all of this. I do think some muscle is needed about rh place.
A lot, hopefully he will stay in the summer. I think we should be trying to get Max Bird here to be his understudy.
A very interesting table showing how mind numbingly boring Rosenior has made us, I bet he ****s over this nightly
Don’t think Rosie tells his players they don’t have to tackle or chase or run quickly with the ball . My worry is he doesn’t seem to tell Jaden to look for a pass at times - football intelligence . We needed one or two players to tackle hard for a few minutes like they did at Sunderland then the team responds but nobody did it yesterday - we seem to see the game as something we will win eventually A- but we go behind then it’s uphill .
I hate to say it but having Delap would have made a big difference in our ability to penetrate yesterday (ooh err), just as he has been for much of the season.
Saw this on Twitter. We have the most touches in our own defensive third and it’s not even surprising. Our style of play isn’t even particularly impressive. It’s just ‘knock it about for a while between our defenders and goalkeeper then hope one of our flair players do some individual brilliance’. Our version of possession football falls apart in the middle and final thirds.
The loudest the crowd were yesterday was almost at the end when we were pushing hard to equalise. Far, far too late in the game to start to attack with determination. It’s no surprise that the vocal backing of the crowd is poor when a large percentage of the game is played in our own half. Our performance yesterday was dreadful and so utterly boring to watch. Come on Liam, football should be entertaining and exciting.
Carlos Pires Top contributor · 16 h · ……and back to the pathetic football , the blindfolded will continue to worship the “his nana’s from hull “ pathetic display of not having a clue of what to do. I give him credit tough…. It’s not easy to make very good players play like they belong to sunday league, it’s not easy, but rosey mourinho knows how to do it…. Only a brilliant mind have 3 strikers on the bench and chooses a center midfielder to play as a striker….. Only a brilliant mind can put his team in panic building from the deep deep deep back and having 4 ( 4 !!!!! ) opponents pressing our player, or , in panic, pass a super long ball to…. no one. Only a brilliant mind ( thank God his nana’s from hull ), don’t play high pressure, don’t pass any attitude to his players , send them on top of the opponents, sending them a message that we will win because we are better….. Only a brilliant mind stays calmly with an impotent smile looking at the game and watching the team falling to bits. It was only today ?….. L O L …. No !!!……. the fact that we are in the upper mid table places gives the wrong idea, we’ve been lucky to keep this position because championship is super competitive and who is not consistent wins 2 to loose 2… not that we are where we are because of the football we play…. last win at home was a struggle to watch, 1 early goal, a few good moves on the first half and panic all over the second half…….ok, we won, f@ck it, move to the next….. and then reality strikes back again…. here we go, round and round to the pathetic apathy, suicidal approach, no clue, tactics and choices that only nana from hull will understand . I remind the rosey mourinho worshippers that if we don’t get promoted, the better players will go, the loanees back to their clubs and the others to better clubs, or clubs for different objectives…. and then ??? where will be the…“ moaners don’t see the bigger picture “…….. “ rosey is planning the future “…… L O L … really ?????…….. “ his nana’s from hull “ coach of the century is a blindman driving a ferrari, but we are all supposed to pretend he have a plan…….. watch below the comments and check the worshippers blind faith and denial in 3….2….1….
I said this tongue in cheek yesterday but nobody picked up on the satire. This is exactly what we were all saying about Philogene for 2 months, now it’s gonna be Delap.
I said this during the second half yesterday. Felt like there was no urgency to get going and we played like we were 1-0 up rather than 1-0 down. Throw ins took too long to actually be played and we continued to pass sideways in our own half with the entirety of Swansea’s team in front of us. We struggled to get into their half at times. The crowd can’t really rally behind that as it’s flat. It felt flat yesterday.
At four of our goal kicks yesterday I counted the passes, seven, seven, nine and eight before the ball got past the half way line, I gave up after that as I was in danger of running out of fingers. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
I think it's no coincidence that we've hit a sticky patch of form with Seri at AFCON. Is he due back for Huddersfield? Or could he make Rotherham? Think there's going to be a lot of pressure on LR if we don't improve when he's back.
