I'm not talking about during the game. That's a given that at some point he will ditch the formation and throw on his mate connolly to run around and look busy until someone flicks his shoulder and hurts him.

I'm talking about he has one style of play and will not try anything else regardless of who we are playing. You can't play the same way every single week. Firstly the opposition are always going to be different and secondly if you don't mix it up by Novemeber everyone knows what you're about and how to beat you.

You could watch any dvd of us playing out from the back and work out how to strangle us in 10 minutes.

We are just making it all a bit complicated. With wingers like Zaroury and Philogene and Carvahlo in behind. Get the ball to them especially the wingers get Giles to overlap Carvahlo near them when they get the ball. Do it quickly with pace, it’s fairly simple.

It’s good he’s acknowledged these weaknesses in the team but he’s also the one who’s had three transfer windows to address it and hasn’t. Swansea won every second ball today and physically dominated us. Carvalho for all talents is so lightweight and got brushed off the ball so easily on several occasions. Today is what happens when you shoehorn a lot of diminutive technical players in the midfield and forward lines but face an opponent that presses well and doesn’t let you casually knock the ball around in your own half to set the tempo. Like Norwich, Swansea did their research, out-fought us in the physical side of the game, didn’t let us play our style of football and we didn’t have the personnel or another tactical plan to fall back on.

I kept saying it all game why does Philogene have to do everything in a tricky way? We all know he is quality but sometimes a simple ball has the same result, sometimes better.

By far the worst performance of the season for me. Swansea schooled us today all over the pitch including the management.

I think I’m right in saying that Zaroury has contributed nothing of note since he hit the crossbar after four minutes against Millwall. He needs to step up, quickly.

Started another game without a striker and 3 on the bench, you don’t deserve to win Rosie

We may still get in the play offs but only due to the inconsistency of others around us. Since start December that's played 12, won 5, lost 7 which is obviously low mid table form and it's remarkable really we're still anywhere near. And if I'm being honest, in 4 of the 5 games we won (Boro, Blackburn, Sunderland, Millwall) I didn't think we played particularly well, or at least not creatively. Cardiff was the last time I thought we played like a play off team. Another unpleasant stat - we haven't scored more than once in a game yet this year.

Was Coyle injured or did the fourth official put just 2 on the board instead of 27 by accident and he ended up coming off by mistake?

No need for a change of manager, just be braver.
He has the tools, so why play within yourselves?
Trying to play between 5 markers?
    I just don't get it,
    **** the process.

Not one of those players had a good game. IMO 2 were the worst 2 players on the pitch. They are all technically very good players, but thats not enough to allow them to try and coast through games, we need 100% effort every game.

People putting the blame on Rosenior as if they played how he wanted them to and lost because of his poor tactics are giving the players themselves a lot of outs. There were a lot of poor individual performances and except for Philogene (who I can understand being left on because of what he can produce in a moment) Rosenior hooked all of them and we improved as the game went on.

No idea really. It'd be fascinating if it wasn't so frustrating.

I completely appreciate we need a level of consistent, better, performance and that rests with Rosenior, but I'm not writing off the season just yet.

I'm similarly a bit perplexed. When we play fast and create chances Rosenior is happy and praises them, so the question of why the players can't do it more is really a strange one.

I honestly think the usual criticism of our play and Rosenior's tactics isn't why we lost this one.

We launched it forward too much, and never looked like scoring from it. Conversely, we didn't pass it around as much as we often do, and certainly not quick enough.

The tactics did change, but the individual performances didn't. We started with a flat 2 in midfield, and went through a central 3 with Morton sitting behind Slater and Carvalho.

I'm not sure why so many of our players had such bad performances. If I had to guess, its because the midfield didn't dictate the play enough. Seri will help that when he returns as his use of physicality is underrated. Morton is not an adequate replacement for his role, and I think he will look better returning to higher up the pitch.

Carvalho was the biggest disappointment for me today. I would consider dropping him for the striker in the next game.

There's how Rosenior wants us to play and then there's how the opposition 'allow' you to play. Swansea did an absolute job on us, as Millwall nearly did. Rosenior limits us with his obsession, he's missing steel all over the field (bar the limited Coyle) and he's allowed 3 windows to leave us with an over abundance of skilled but lightweight technical players covering a limited number of positions. I also continue to see literally no sign that he's capable of coaching attacking play.
They out thought, out muscled, out fought us, as several sides have now done and I fear several more will, until Rosenior accepts some realities (or he's replaced with someone who's not serving an apprenticeship with us).
Nope, I don't expect us to win every game and in style, but that was unacceptably poor.
