Tufan looks super fit and lean. A different player to last season when he looked heavy and disinterested at times. Now he chases everything, but he's not a centre forward and he is wasted in that position. A proper forward would have buried that one chance we had when Tufan headed the ball straight at the keeper. It must be frustrating not just for him and the team but for the three forwards we have who all spent the first half running up and down the touchline warming up. Then one of them never got on the pitch at all. LR has plenty of tools at his disposal, but on todays showing you have to ask, does he know what to do with them?
Everyone Was Crap If anyone gets more than a 5 from Baz Cooper, then he must have been watching a different game to me.
I thought Tufan was starting to impose himself on the game when Sharp came on and he dropped deeper. Then for some reason him and Zaroury were taken off and Philogene stayed on.
Ömür - for immediate impact and a view to the future Traore - playing him in his right position Greaves - consistency
Allsop Omur Traore Swansea did a job on us using the same tactics as Millwall by keeping a very tight band across the pitch and we didn't have a clue how to break it down - it was almost a carbon copy of last weeks game - worst offenders for giving the ball away needlessly were Morton, Giles and Greaves - worst offender for trying to showboat, not passing and wasting chances, Jaden - Coyle got run ragged - Swansea goal was poor defending - we didn't learn because they nearly repeated it again in the second half - very bad day at the office - hopefully a few changes will improve things for RovRum
1. Omur 2. Allsop 3. me for making decision to go to Southampton away rather than Swansea at home. They surely can’t be that bad! someone needs to take Jaden to one side and have the conversation “there’s no “I” in team.
Greaves. Way above rest of city players Giles. Defended well when needed, tried to get in front of Philogene (he must have been frustrated today not getting the ball from him early) Omar. Very promising debut, looks like our future goal creator Some worrying casual performances from some players. Still not getting the centre of midfield line up & their performances right
Allsop (for saves not distribution) Greaves Omur Honorable mention for Philogene for turning into Malcolm (hopefully only for the day).
