So we have only lost this season when Nunez has not started. I don't think it is down to him, I think it is the way we play when he plays.
forward passes. he played forward passes in build ups too. the more we do the more dangerous we are obviously.
high energy high press and stretching sides. gakpo comes short all the time. same with salah and Jota. they play on the shoulder looking for the press and the ball over top. it's really all about desire and mr nunez has it in spades.
I drank Adnams Broadside when we played Chelsea and today. Against Arsenal I drank Asahi. Clearly we play poorly when I drink lager. It is Broadside for the rest of the season, even if it is 6.3%. The sacrifices I make for this team are unbelievable!!
We do feel a bit limp without Salah but we're still getting the goals, maybe it's a confidence factor on both sides (ours and the opposition)
Feel Nunez just needs to spend a couple hours every day after training just going 1v1 with keepers or something. Get some psychologist to help in those moments or something. If he can even start covert in 20% of the big chances he gets then will add another 5/6 goals a season.
Thought Endo was very off the pace first half, but was much better second half. Overall can't complain as we got the result.
it's all about wanting to go forward, wanting to win those second balls, be sprinting at the press. that only started after half time. either every 3 points matter or they don't amd until there was some changes made they really didn't look like it mattered all that much another 3 off the bottom.half and move.into the next one that's must win. be real though, city don't get caught. you have to lead them.and stay ahead. we are still behind when it washes out.
All we can do is put the pressure on, fixtures fall nicely next week as we have the opportunity to stretch the lead to 5 points and then City play Chelsea
