He misjudged the bounce of the ball a couple of times, which looked a bit comical and he took a while to get used to the pace of the game, but I'm sure he will get used to the pitch and the team.
Tough game, played on a ****house of a pitch... They've lost the last 3....Somethings got to give..2-2 draw.
I think we will start with the same team as Millwall, difficult to drop Tufan as he had a good game and pressed very well. Connolly unlikely to be fit enough to start, probably get him on for the last 30 minutes.
Any chance of Delap back in the starting XI tomorrow... If so.. Allsopp Coyle...Jones...Greaves..Giles Philogene..Morton...Tufan.. Zaroury Delap...Carvalho If not, Slater in the middle, with Tufan playing up top.
Brid Town's pitch (which looks a damn site better than ours) doesn't bounce anywhere near as much as ours.
I hope Ohio doesn't read this lot, he's had 20 mins on the pitch and he's already been written off by some
The game that spawned the line of genius, "Hey Joyce, I know you’re not as far out as Ronnie Boyce" from Half Man Half Biscuit's Ode to Joyce.
I'd show him this lot, if he's anything about him he'll bust a gut to prove people wrong. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Law of averages, new manager not won yet in the league. Hopefully this side are different from Typical City’s of the past
A week to find out each others strengths and weaknesses in the training pitch, with the educated footballers we have now I can see us being on it for more then 20 mins, expecting an unchanged team, with the Turkish Messi and Ohio coming on around the hour mark when we are 3 up to showcase their talents... c'mon City, time to put a marker down.
Sharpe should have been on 2nd half of last game. If we had let one of those late efforts in, no one would have been happy. We got away with it last week. 1-0 is not enough, we should have gone for the second and if Billy does not get on in a game like that, then when is he.
We need to break and carry the ball with pace and purpose and not rely solely on our measured passing game.
That plus some fans getting on Lewie's case for passing back to Allsopp when he had no conceivable foward pass to make...Our fans are 95% great, but I do sometimes worry about the other 5%.
I always think its a bit of American thinking. Mote concerned with yardage than possession. It's we can't score from our own half Vs we can't score if we don't have possession
