Yes. What a talent! He gave up the game so young. I caught the tail end of his career on the TV, particularly remembering brief black and white highlights of the New Zealand tour shown on Grandstand. I learned much more about him from Gareth Edwards' autobiography. A man who walked to the beat of his own drum, an enigma, but truly humble and grounded. He disliked fame and wanted to live life quietly with his loved ones. A proper human being. Thanks for the memories. RIP Barry John
I picked some currency for our holiday next week £100 = nearly 2,000,000 Indonesian Rupiah, I was thinking of ordering more but we would have needed an extra suitcase for it
Talk now of a sin bin/ blue card, the only benefit will be the TV companies, more controversy to dissect and chew over
Also the opportunity to install a Sin Bin Cam so they can analyse if somebody is looking pissed off to be sat in a sin bin for ten minutes for a challenge which the ref lets the other team get away with
It's supposed to be for professional fouls and dissent. They have to be the most inconsistently punished offences in the game right now. I can't see that changing at all, so we'll see the same biased bullshit that we do now, only more so.
Nice. But you would think Burkinshaw and Perryman would warrant an invitation to the Chairman's Suite...
RIP Steve Wright. A voice we (of a certain age) all know so well. Consummate professional broadcaster and by all accounts a decent guy!
