This will be the first home league game I'll have missed since we beat Brentford 4-1 in January 2022.

I have every faith that I'll be missing another 3+ goal home win.

I’m going to this one. First one since the Norwich game. Stoked!

    Time for a poinless stat:

A third of all Huddersfield's games this season have ended 1-1.

Playing Huddersfield always reminds me of the L1 seasons and the old 606. Good times.

The promotion race with them in 10/11 was epic.

Didn't we smash them 5-0 at home?

Think that was the first season. 4-1 in the second season if my memory isn't failing me.

Ah yes, was a student back then. Spent the afternoon at the Stag's drinking brothers festival cider and by kick off at SMS, I had to watch it with one hand over an eye as I could see 44 players.

Yeah old 606 got distinctly nasty at one point if I recall.

    ****ing funny though.

Does Mara deserve the start this weekend?

Our easiest game in a busy month and in recent form you could argue he deserves to start.

Not yet. 30 mins off the bench is perfect for him at the moment, and our main strikers are doing fine. Plus we need to get Brooks into the first team asap.

I'd keep the same front three as Rotherham, although I'd be happy with Fraser - Adarma - Brooks as well.

If fixtures were reversed and we had Bristol ths weekend and Huddersfield at home midweek, I reckon he'd start.

But the way it is, there wouldnt be much point resting them again only for them to play Tuesday-Friday.

Typical that they are coming into this off the back of a massive 4-0 win against a relegation rival. Massive confidence boost for them. For a team in 21st, they've not lost THAT many, and are the draw specialists of the league. We should still have too much for them, but can't take them lightly.

I wouldn't. I see Brooks starting on the RW with Adarma through the middle and Fraser on LW.

Same starting line up as against Rotherham for me. Whether we need a goal or are safely ahead and want to rest players we can bring on Brooks/Edozie etc. in the second half.

Would be good to see Meghoma get some decent minutes in the league, or the youngsters his position is the one with the least depth.

I think the 5-0 in the first season was what started the animosity on their part. I recall them invading our board en masse after a goalless draw at home to Oldham confirmed that we couldn't reach the play offs.

We then returned the love with interest when they lost to Millwall in the play offs

It was a lot better natured in the second season iirc despite us being direct competitors.

Just realised that was nearly 15 years ago. **** I feel old.
