Fair enough you have your opinions but if you think parties infiltrated by extremism lunatics are bad why chose reform?

Lee Anderson is bloody awful. Nowt more to say on him.

That said I am yet to see a sensible approach to net zero from any party. Dare I say I am not even convinced net zero is the right aim anyway. I am probably talking rubbish again but instead of another target why not talk about real change we can make to need less energy in our lives, not more and more green energy. Personally I am sick of the sight of wind turbines on or offshore. Lets have a ban on some non essential electrical goods and start learning to cope as adults like we once did. No more hair dryers, electric toothbrushes, tumble dryers, alexas, electric bloody cars, electric garage doors, electric gates, curling tongs, beard trimmers, dishwashers, smoothis makers, coffee machines, blenders, bloody electric whisks, electric bloody can openers, and lastly, electric bbqs! Electric f'ing bbq. Ban them all, get back to common sense living and wet hair in the morning. Or whack a green tax on them all.

Mind you, dont take my toasted sandwich maker away please <laugh>

Sadly it's not an act, it's actually how he is.

When I look at the likes of him Boris, Farage, Trump, etc, I'm staggered that people don't think they're bellends.

It's like when Jimmy Saville was fooling people into thinking he wasn't a serious weirdo.

We simply have to use less energy and resource, though toothbrushes are mostly throwaway plastic. I have a wood one btw. It has to be incentivised. I try to use public transport and my work colleagues use cars cos they make more money and say good waterproofs are too dear and trains are dear and ****. All true. If we mean it we have to mean it.

Great to see us 'taking control of our borders' <doh>

Post-Brexit the government are so desperate to avoid embarrassing food shortages they'll allow meat and other animal products through without any checks. After all these years, since leaving the EU, we still don't have the means to process the thousands of lorries coming into the country.

'Getting Brexit done' was a great slogan like 'stop the boats' or 'fix the NHS' ...

... here's another, 'Sort it out!'.

"Animal products entering the UK from the EU will continue to be waved through without checks if British ports are overwhelmed by new post-Brexit border controls, according to documents seen by the Financial Times. An “automated clearance process” will clear goods for entry without paperwork checks if there are capacity issues at border control posts, the government contingency planning papers said.

The Dover Port Health Authority, which oversees inspections at Britain’s busiest port, said the introduction of the system “raised serious questions” for biosecurity and public health. Last month the DPHA seized tonnes of illegal meat entering the UK from Europe."

Ah but as collateral damage patients lie in their hospital beds suffering from food poisoning the Tories will provide them with free mini union jack flags to wave and mock up blue passports, whilst Boris Johnson drives a remote control "£350 million" red bus up and down the wards :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Not long before we change to a new government, l am so excited by the prospect of more of the same.
We have an opportunity on the 15th to make a change locally. Eight candidates are standing so the local paper informed me yesterday, with photos of all eight. Brilliant, not a single name to any of the photos, or which parties they represent.

So far we have received 9 leaflets, six from Labour, 1 from Tory, 2 from Reform, the standout from them leaflets all 6 from Labour , are all the same, the Tories haven't much to say, and two different one from Reform.

Looking on the bright side, we have a week to go, and l can get a pint at my polling station if and when l vote.

All sense of reason seems to have been lost.

Money has been thrown around as if it's nothing while people can't get cancer treatment or their children's teeth fixed ...

... Boris Johnson gave £2.5 million to people just to throw some ideas around about having a new Royal Yacht.

WTF did we get from that and who's pockets did the money fill?

What I hope will change is how we're spending millions storing the 'useless PPE mountain' that we spent millions buying and sue the suppliers ...

... that kind of thing would cheer me up a bit.

We will find out one day, we always do, not many people get away with things for to long these days. Just ask the leaders of the post office. The most important thing we need these days is patience<ok>

What we need is a government that doesn't look after their chums first and the public last ...

... who took all the money for the 'flagship Nightingale hospitals' when we didn't have enough staff for the real ones <doh>

I’m certain it will all come out, that lass who took a wedge is probably s hitting herself now, bank accounts frozen already I think. The more that get caught the less others will risk it, hopefully.

While I don't believe for a second that the usual suspects wouldn't have screamed themselves hoarse over the government saying 'yes we're shovelling money out of the door because we need this stuff from anywhere, but make no mistake, you'll account for every penny if it takes ten minutes or ten years' at the time, it's what should have been done.

Plenty of people not connected to government knowingly defrauded them too.
