From where I sat, when Dibling was booked for "diving" I am sure he had been fouled a couple of times as he broke through and it was an ankle tap that brought him down. When he went through to set up Mara's second, he avoided one ankle tap, brushed aside another blocking tackle and was wiped out by the centre half. He is going to be subjected to this kind of treatment every week and is going to need more protection in my opinion.

There was a lot of blatant fouling- yet the ref gave three yellows for diving…

The best bit, actually, was when Edozie gets chopped down by their defender (or maybe it really was a dive). The ref blows the whistle and defender gets over Edozie and is giving him hell for going down, screaming in his face. Adarma charges over and gives him a shove and, lo and behold, defender boy is rolling around on the floor.

My mate turned to me and said, "Did he really just take a flop after screaming at Edozie about the same thing?"

We have a home win against Millwall before and an away win at Birmingham after

That is confusing as Palace didn't exist until 1905!

It's Bale. Dibling looks and runs like Bale. If he turns into half the player Bale was.......

So Dibling is reminding people of: Le Tiss, Grealish, Henry and Bale.
No pressure on this nipper then!

As far as football went last night, it couldn't get much better; a conclusive win, played some of the youths, and Leeds had to play extra minutes to make it in to the next round. Happy days.

I think this goal epitomises Russball as much as the 27-pass goal against Middlesbrough epitomised Nigel’s Championship side. Iconic stuff.

Dibling started that move from RB! I didn't notice that last night.

Also reminded me of a young Sue Smith and an old Peter Shilton too. The lad clearly wears many hats.

I could wash my hair four or five times, and still only miss about 30 seconds of the game #Slaphead

The football is just getting better and better, Russ was right when he called for trust and patience and said "it will be brilliant" back in September although I was starting to doubt it after the Boro loss!
I haven't enjoyed watching us as much since Koeman left and we are currently achieving the holy grail of beautiful football and ultra consistent results and I truly think that we can get even better!

I love the bit where Jack has his arm around Dibling’s shoulders and gives him a pat on the head, presumably in recognition of the part he played in the goal.
    That was good captaincy.
