Glad I am at home tonight in front of the computer screen and not standing in the rain on the terraces Looking at the league table hopefully we can add a bit more misery to Fleetwood tonight, bottom but one and having played 2 games more than Port Vale and a GD of -22 against Vales -14 Just noticed that Fleetwood are captained by B Wiredu 5 minutes gone and the only comment on the match from I Follow and Daniel Hargraves is that the match has kicked off Fleetwood pressing have had 2 corners in the first 5 minutes, Rovers now have a free kick which was missed by everybody 2 good free kicks from Vale but no luck in front of goal 13th minute Wiredu hits the Rovers bar 15th minute First chance missed by Rovers, Martin hits the ball straight to their Keeper 21st minute Coughlan for Fleetwood Rovers 0 - 1, a lead Dan Hargraves reckon they deserve Applause started for Mason and Max 15th to 17th minutes
Jack Hunt down injured, Taylor talking to the players 25th minute Hunt leaving the pitch Thomas coming on Only one goal scored so far in league tonight, Peterborough have also scored, both scoring teams playing away from home 27th minute first yellow card of the evening Baggott is awarded it Daniel Hargraves keeps commenting on Rovers lack of interest in shooting to try and score 4 minutes extra time to be played, last Saturday's win at Exeter was down to good defending, the goal we conceded tonight was down to a lack of defending HT 0 - 1 If the results stay as they are at HT Reading will move out of the bottom 4 and Cheltenham will drop below Fleetwood at the bottom of the table
Not sure about the league 1 bit Bluebaldee 2nd has begun no changes noted Jed Wards penalty area doesn't look good according to Daniel Hargraves, so lets hope they don't put a lot of ground shots in 52nd minute Stockley direct from a corner Rovers 0 - 2 Only 5% of people who voted on the poll run by Bristol Live thought that Rovers would lose by 2 or more goals, 68% thought we would win by 2 or more goals 57th minute Campbell yellow carde for a foul on Crama home fans shouting for the colour RED Conceded 9 goals in the last 6 matches playing 3 at the back obviously not working so can we please play 4 at the back to give ourselves a chance 62nd minute Vaughan and Wilson off Gordon and Grant on gone to 4 at the back Gordon LB, Grant at RB
66th minute Kilkenny yellow carded 68th minute Aguilera yellow carded stopping an attack, Patterson on for Stockley 70th minute Broom joins the yellow card club 74th minute Conteh off Marquis on 75th minute Vale goes down in the box nothing given 10minutes plus extra time then we can move on the next defeat on Saturday 87th minute Friend on Vale off 4 minutes added time, glad I stayed home tonight, another clueless performance, Daniel says he is not sure why it isn't more maybe the ref has some sympathy for us Chris Martin 2nd yellow / red card Rovers down to ten men in the 90+3rd minute FT 0 - 2 Boos ring out around the ground, come back Andy Mangan all is forgiven
12 points off the playoff places not much chance of making that gap up and making the playoffs but if we lose the next 2 or 3 which is possible the way weare playing now we could be in a relegation battle very soon
How the heck do we lose at home to a team close to the bottom of the league ? We were far too quick to get rid of Andy Mangan who was doing a pretty reasonable job
It sounded like another poor performance from most of the team and more tactical ineptitude from Taylor. Attendances are down because the football is rubbish and the results are hopelessly inconsistent. I’m afraid we could be in for a relegation battle if we don’t start putting points on the board and that is completely unacceptable.
When I suggested this afternoon at the match that if we have to play most of he teams below us we would be struggling to stay in league 1 people said we would be quite safe, I am not convinced with Taylor in charge league 2 beckons, and why the ref didn't at least give their keeper a yellow card to go with his degree in time wasting I am not sure
Think I read that yesterdays attendance was something like 7922, supporters beginning to vote with their feet after a series of dire performances
Tonight's line up v Stevenage Ward, Baggott, Crama, Wilson, Hunt, Gordon, Conteh, Evans (c), Thomas, Brown, Martin Subs Cox, Connolly, Grant, Hoole, Sinclair, Vaughan, Marquis Full league 1 programme tonight except that Burton v Carlisle and Peterborough v Port Vale are cancelled water logged pitches Matchday predictions on Bristol Live Rovers to win by 1 goal 8%, to win by 2 or more goals 12%, to lose by 1 goal 20%, to lose by 2 or more goals 47%, not a very optimistic outlook for tonight's match 6th minute more poor defending allows Kane Hemmings to give Stevenage the lead 1 - 0
After reading the open letter I wonder if the Chairman and I watch the same team Stevenage have Just missed a chance to go 2 up Stevenage have moved 3 points clear of Oxford in the last playoff place 16th minute we have had our first shot by Martin 21st minute yellow card for Evans 24th minute 2 - 0 Sky have credited to Foster- Caskey I follow and Dan don't seem to know the scorer 28th minute Baggott off Sinclair on 30th minute Thomas for Rovers 2 - 1 assisted by Martin Rovers formation appears to now be 4-2-3-1 Think Dan Hargraves has fallen asleep no posts since the 35th minute extra time being played but nobody is saying how much time there is to be played HT 2 - 1
Tonight's attendance 3231 of which 376 are Gashead's 50th minute a big save from Ward corner to defend 61st minute Ward forced into a great save followed by a block from Crama and Daniel hargraves said great game this now and he was right 61st minute Martin for Rovers 2 - 2 64th minute Evans down injured match delayed 65th minute match restarted Evans back on and in the 67th minute he scores a goal 2 - 3 assisted by Luke Thomas
If we can hold this lead and the the results stay as they are we will move up 2 places and Saturdays game V Northampton will be more important than ever Luke Thomas has had an injury but the game continues after a short delay with Thomas still playing 8 minutes to play could be an interesting 8 plus minutes 84th minute Matt Taylor yellow carded interesting score in league 2 Mansfield 9 Harrogate 2
Just posted that score Tom Nichols among the scores 87th minute Conteh yellow carded and 89th minute Vaughan on Thomas off also 89th minute Thompson replaces Burns 8 minutes extra time to be played Daniel Hargraves is asking how are the nerves now obviously not a long time Gas supporter otherwise he wouldn't ask that question 95th minute huge catch from Ward 3 minutes to play 2nd yellow for Conteh, daniel said both cards were soft, Rovers down to 10 men 90+7 minute Sinclair and Brown off Grant and Marquis on 90+10 corner to Stevenage Rovers unhappy their GK has come up for the corner which was headed onto the roof of the net FT Stevenage 2 - 3 Rovers
He said he wanted more fighting spirit well he got it in the end think Rovers have moved up 2 places in the league
