    I'm up for that one.

This is a tribute to our very own Juggernaut. Unstoppable and unbeaten in 21. It could also serve as a team talk for our next victims Watford FC whose fate is already sealed. We'll just call them 22.

    juggernaut

    fear not the
    juggernaut
    my son
    you can not
    stop it
    you must not
    block it
    stand aside
    my son
    and let it
    pass.

I think Saints will win tomorrow but the tie in the next round will be intriguing. I would like to think that Liverpool will implode now that Klopp has announced his departure and the fact that Arsenal managed to beat them yesterday does make you wonder if they are on a wobble. I have to say that I am not a Klopp fan and think that his departure will have a simiar effect to Sir Alex leaving Man Utd. The squad needs rebuilding to a degree. I could see this tie as either our unbeaten record going seriously down the tubes or us exploiting Klopp if he puts out a weakened team. I am more confident that I was before their manager announced his intentions.

Playing Liverpool would provide some indication as to whether Martin's system will work in the PL if we get promoted. If it is an embarrassment then we will need a rethink and might be better prepared should we go up. On the other hand if it is successful it will scare the **** out of three quarters of the PL.

I wouldn't be worried at all, even if we get beaten 6-0. The game is a distraction, and we will have an improved squad if we go up anyway.

And the 'system' is fine. Firstly RM did not invent possession-based football. Plenty of sides use it in the Prem. They used to regularly outplay us doing so. All RM might need to do is tweak it here and there, which I trust he will be able to do. Our system these days is proving to be very flexible; hence the number of goals that come from long passes over the top.

It's become a bit of a myth these days that we play slow, backwards football for the hell of it. In the early days of RM, then yes. But since December we've been far, far more creative and willing to take risks.

A bigger indicator of how good we are, will come in the games we play against Leicester, Leeds and Ipswich.

6+ points and we're looking good. Fewer than 3 is a concern. Somewhere in the middle is the expectation.

    Match Day. Stinging.

Two awful misses on the laundry basket, rectified by a bit of a scrambled goal with the final item.

The good news is that I'm taking my wife out to dinner tonight, so I won't be able to watch the game. Easy win in that case.

We don't yet know how important the Leeds game is so can't really include that game yet. If either us or Leeds have already secured automatic promotion then there's not much you can take out of the game itself.

Sure, but hypothetically, if we were playing Leeds tomorrow, I mean.

I have watched football in artic conditions and driving rain…now I am older I have become water soluble and require a balmy temperature. In Britain, that means a dozen suitable days.
