I'm really not concerned, was bound to happen and at least it's not an unexpected loss at some team we really should be beating.
No doubting that. And fighting for title at halfway point 2 season in a row is hell of a lot better than you were - albeit after spending 1/2 billion £ you’d also expect team to be fighting (unless you’re Chelsea) and winning trophies so that’s the next step. still just missing quality up top and full backs imo. White and zinchenko are alright. Havertz/nketieh/jesus lacking and prob the reason you won’t win a title of cup this year
Still undefeated when we have 11 players on the pitch. Refs doing their best to keep us in check otherwise we’d be even further clear
Exactly, it is what it is - one of the most difficult games on the schedule and we were beaten. next 4 league games are against the bottom 6 - get 12 from them and I’m happy enough
on one of my pet hates the Havertz "tipping" of VVD was disgraceful and really should be a red to stamp it out before someone gets a serious injury . edit : and Mac should have been booked for a less dramatic one
Jeez….Arsenal weren’t great, we were awful and got it completely wrong. Gooners need to go and enjoy it and stop worrying about us lot bemoaning our own performance.
The funniest comment was havertz did well. He was abject. Martinelli did well. What arsenal did was what we needed to do but refused to. They dropped into a 451 and said come on then. At 1-1 arsenal are screwed in the league with city having an easy run. We piled on as per with no regard and never ever had any shape at the back. If we sat in two banks of 4 and just hit long ball at nunez and Jota we'd have done better and that's really all they did as they couldn't do much with the ball either. We were jaded looking. Vvd was awful, konate one paced (a game too far 100%, macallister was jaded after 60mins and had to stick in there. It's really that simple. Arsenal had less games as they were out of the cups and had more energy.
Well that's ruined my weekend. I can't believe that's the same side that played so well against Chelsea. I'm not even bothered that Arsenal have 3 points because I think they'll fade anyway - but it's blown the bloody doors off for City to barge in now.
Tell you what Robertson and Trent look w@nk coming back into the team. They are well off match fitness. Got to be one of the worst performances of the season that and given City the title
This is it. Arsenal can crow all they want, but they wont win the title and all this has done is handed the advantage back to City. 4 Years in a row would be the death of any notion that the English league is wide open. Unless City are handed their arse over the 115, the only time any other club could win the league is if City were to have a very off year.
I go on proposalversary weekend away and come back to find out you lot let us lose again? This is what happened last time I took a trip away. You lot are useless.
A very bad day at the office. VVD looked very lethargic as if having a huge hangover (maybe he did have a long Saturday night!). The others seemed afraid to engage the motivated opposition and were under the cosh from the first minute. Klopp didn’t do himself any favours by playing Gakpo and Gravenberch who are bench players at best. hope this is not a symptom of his departure announcement but this was a dreadful mismatch especially in the first half. Lucky not to be going 3-0 down never mind 1-1. We recovered second half with more dynamism and belief. Ultimately Arsenal deserved their win because they played as if they wanted it more. While we seemed not to be too bothered, especially VVD.
Havertz isn't scoring enough goals for us, but he played well yesterday and kept your CB's busy all game, to the point where Konate got himself sent off because of it. What Havertz does well is that he can act as a target man, hold the ball up and bring other players into the game, which is why Martinelli and Saka had so much freedom yesterday. (also coz Trent was **** too lol)
