Some Wall fans saying our goal would have been chalked off for handball if VAR was in use...Talk about clutching at straws, delusional cockeyed cretins.
Can’t be arsed to read the thread so may have been answered. Wasn’t a pen on Tufan at all, wasn’t a dive either. Tufan just leaned on him as he tried to get round and lost his balance in the process. Ref had a good game, didn’t really get anything wrong. Only thing you could really pick him up on would have been for not giving a couple of yellows either way, but he was consistent for both teams in that regard with similar offences.
Can’t remember the incident now cos I’m still pissed, but there was one of theirs who took one for the team in the first half, but actually didn’t get one. Otherwise, can’t think he got much wrong.
Is it just me, but does anyone else think that Giles resembles Robbie Brady (that is Robbie back in his city days of course)
Yes, that was one of the incidents I was referring to, and then he allowed a pretty much identical foul to go cardless in our favour, so consistent both ways. Both should have been yellows, but other than that don’t think there was anything else he got wrong.

Reflections on the game. It sort of panned out how it was likely to go with so many new arrivals and 2 weeks since we lasted played. The first 20 minutes, some of the best football I have seen us play this season. Finished the half well on top and cruising, just lacked the 2nd goal, which if it had come, I could see us going onto to win comfortably. 2nd half we dropped off our energy, which is to be expected with new players lacking game time and Jaden out for 2 months. Nevertheless, we saw the game out with only one or two scares. Tufan was excellent all game, Jaden, even though as yet not up to speed, is still some player. Good debuts for Giles and Zaroury, and that shot that hit the bar was some strike. Other than that Greaves had a very good game, Morton and Slater very steady in midfield, and Carvalho was good, but still not quite up to speed. The main thing was a clean sheet and 3 points, as LIam said he is looking to peak at the right time, and if we can slowly build our form up and at the same time win games, we should be where we want to be by the end of the season. We will only get better! On the pitch, it looks worse than 3 weeks ago, and there has been no game on it since, so why has it deteriorated further? On the ref, compared to others, I thought he had a reasonable game and was one of the better ones we have had this season, though Rebecca Welsh has been the best so far,
Their left side when their player cynically stopped one of ours overlapping when they had no chance of catching them? (Can’t recall who, but probably Coyle)
