If the rumours about us having relegation wage reductions in all / most of our contracts and them not then they really should. That would have them with several players on over 75k a week including one on nearly double that The fact that they were able to hold onto all of Vardy, Daka and Iheanacho is pretty crazy. I struggle to believe those tables that showed us having a very similar wage bill to them
A Saints dilemma, then: We're playing Watford in the cup, so do we want to let Watford have an easy match, meaning that they are ready for Leicester, or do we just smash 'em, which may dent their confidence?
A lot of goals coming from THB long passes over the top recently; 2nd goal vs Rotherham 2nd goal vs Swansea 1st goal vs Walsall - assist 2nd goal vs Plymouth - assist Plus he scored the winner against QPR. AND, he's only been booked twice this season. What a lad.
His balls over the top are just so well weighted. Credit to Fraser too for making the runs. This is the main advantage Weeman has over Edozie and Sulemana. They don't make the same type of off-the-ball movements that Fraser does.
I think there’s a pretty good argument that this team with brooks is better than our PL team from last year. I think we’d comfortably beat last seasons team
Yeah we were a total shambles last season with no real direction or plan, changing managers 3 times in a season rarely works but now we have a strong connection through the board, staff, coaches, team and the fans and long may it continue. I loved JWP as a player and the service he gave us but you could argue that our demise started after he became the onfield captain.
That is a tenuous connection. Him becoming captain also coincided with years of underinvestment and a painful transition to new ownership. Correlation is not causation.
I never really rated him as a leader, just my opinion though, we always seemed to crumble after conceding and the stats of us losing points from winning positions during that period back it up.
The losing points from winning positions thing was mainly down to Ralph's insistence on the high press. Our players ran out of steam around the hour mark, every game. We are on the other side of this now. Our style knackers the opposition out. And we are the team that bags the late goals.
