Somewhere on our forum I predicted it would be yourselves we’re battling. I even said Norwich could be the catalyst for the Ipswich wheels falling off. Might end up being a Leeds v Southampton winner takes all last day of the season. I’ve even said today, if we miss out on the autos I don’t want Southampton to be in them with us. You’re a far better team than Ipswich, Moore will have a quick honeymoon period but once teams cut out the crosses coming in they’ll be one dimensional
Imagine the feeling is mutual. Ipswich is a solid side, and anything can happen in a playoff final, but I'd be much more confident facing them than Leeds despite beating you and losing to them earlier in the year.
My comment about penalties is rather tongue in cheek. The best sides, who dominate games and spend most of the game attacking tend to get the most penalties and Leicester are and have been the best team in the league this season and your points total and GD reflects that. But still, it's interesting just quite how many more penalties you've had than the other teams who dominate most games. For interest the top 4: Leicester have won 10 penalties in 30 games and have scored 64 goals. Leeds have won 6 penalties in 30 games and have scored 52 goals. Saints have won 3 penalties in 29 games and have scored 55 goals. Ipswich have won 1 penalty in 29 games and have scored 53 goals.
The two against Stoke were down to pretty poor defending tbh ... they were awful ... we could, and probably should, have scored 8 ... maybe even 9
I'd rather beat them twice in a season and get six points, than once by scoring nine, and both teams getting three points over the two games...
Each to their own ... I quite like being in the record books myself ... must be my extrovert / show-off personality ...
