Had been ill for a couple of months and lost over 2 Stone.. Couldn't get out of house But managed to get a taxi to take me to corals ( Scarborough ) managed to watch the game in bookies ..leaping about when city scored and singing in taxi back home.. Supported city since 1965 when my dad first took me was suicidal when I couldn't get to wembley.. A week later I was diagnosed with non hodgkins lymphoma...I'm fine now , second time in remission and so hoping we get back to the play off final. City V Leicester City this season. Would be great with City to win 3-1 :) Nicky Barmbys Black and Amber Army ....

At the time my lad was three and a half and that season was his first as a real City supporter, I'd took him to every home game after the West Brom game which my daughter was a mascot for.
For him he'll never forget his first taste of City, ending up watching the most important game in our history with me at Wembley. What a season to start going!!
Me, the wife our two daughters and the lad all went together. Never had a pint all day, didn't want to spoil it.
Shed a tear or two at the final whistle, not ashamed to admit that.
Got back to Hull, got a pizza and had a can of Carling about 1am.
Then just lay in bed as it all sunk in. Hull City? Premier League? ****ing mental.
Don't think I could ever go back there, wouldn't want to feel like the Bristol fans did that day.
If we ever get there again It'll never be quite the same as the first time.

Sat in the Club Wembley seats. Draw a line from the point the ball hit the back of the net, through Deano's boot and extend to the far end of the stadium and that was my eye-line. Paid £250 for the pleasure and would do it again. Had to go to an online scalper having got up at 0700 to find that the club had sneakily released the last 4000 tickets an hour earlier than they had announced. Travelled doen from North Scotland the day before and had to get back the next day for work, tired but very happy.

Drove down on the day, had some brilliant banter with the Bristol fans in a pub which was split 50/50 Bristol/Hull. Watched the best game of football i've ever seen, had the best moment of my life so far and then unfortunately headed straight back home on the evening as i had work at 7 the next morning. Though i ended up going out that night in Hull and getting in at about 4

Funnily enough about a year ago i had some customers recognise me at work as 'the hungover one' from last time they stayed, apparently i explained that i'd been celebrating the win the night before and they thought it was hilarious. I have no memory of this <laugh>

Club Wembley seats 1/3rd of the way along the pitch. A bloke from Eastrington put a coach on set off at 6am, coach booked into the official England fans working mans club. So had a few cheap beers before and after the game. Fantastic day, but if I'm honest the Arsenal away win was a better occasion and better game.

Surreal but wonderful day - I was in the very very seedy bar at the bottom of the stadium steps at Wembly - it looked like it was some kind of really seedy club thing by night. Watching the game on TV and hearing the crowd for real - the bar was near empty save for half a dozen Bristol coach drivers or something (yeah struck me as odd too but not sure what they were drinking).

Why? Well sister is a BCFC season ticket holder, my daughter Hull through and through, my son has City for his second team ;-/. So plan was ... my sister gets tickets for herself and my son (for the red end) and I get tickets for me and daughter (at our end). I failed, she succeeded, so I end up taking my son to meet her and go in the Bristol end while I wait outside. Would have been totally sh*te if we'd lost ... but hey!

Ooo watching that sent a shiver down my spine. Only spoiled by my witch saying "what are you watching that ****e for? They all die at the end".

I told her it was the happiest day of my life, and shes now in a mood and ignoring me. Job done!

After 40 years of following the tigers we made it to Wembley. It was my birthright to be there on this day. #

I was in the F#####g Canary Isles. Never going to book a holiday again in May of June.

Serves you right. You have no sympathy from me. You weren't ill or forced into working so you could feed, clothe and home your family. You went swanning off to sunny España.

I was in Cyprus on holiday for the last play off game and thought the atmosphere and city fans were amazing, we watched it in a pub with some Stoke supporters who wanted City to win. Really the rest of the holiday was just building up to that final, it felt so exciting for us but **** not being with a big crowd of other supporters. I walked through a pool area with my City shirt on and there were a few comments like "you don't think you will win do you" and at the time I did not dare say yes in case I jinxed it. There were only a few City supporters in the pub but we had a good time and it was unreal, could not believe we had won and just wanted to be in Hull. We were there when the team got back and watched all the parade and city hall stuff. A couple of relatives were at Wembley and they both cried and actually saw Deano a bit after the game in a corridor and rushed up to him to hug and kiss him. Later that year we returned to the same bar and took a Tigers scarf with us which is up on the ceiling so if you are in Protaras go to Reeves bar and check the scarf is still there.

We went up on the friday as I wanted to walk around Wembly while there were no crowds to get photo of Bobby Moore statue, had a quick natter with Duffman (OK i was only 46 and at an impressionable age) who was been interveiwed by Peter Levy. Sussed the boozers around Wembly, had a skinfull etc. Sat morning had a massive fried breakfast, and sat in an Irish bar by 10.30am, poured ourselves out of the pub at around 1.30pm, bought a dozen cans and spent an hour soaking up the atmosphere with the thousands of City fans, totally amazing. After the game and bought some cheap champagne and more cans, and hung around Wembley celebrating with a traffic cone hat. Apart from the birth of my kids, one of the best days of my life.

How the hell did you manage to eat a fried breakfast!? I was badly with the nerves. I had a mouthful of cornflakes in my hotel and nearly spewed I was so anxious.

Night before the game we decided to go down that night so that didn't get stuck in traffic checked into the Premier Inn in Watford. Got to the ground about 10 in the morning as neither me nor my Dad could actually sleep. Bumped into my Head teacher who was a Brizzle fan before the match, had few hours wandering talking to the fans. Then went in and it was just one of the greatest atmosphere's i have ever felt. Was sat in the bottom tear, just below where Duffen and AP where near the central bit where the Posh/Club Wembley guys sit i believe.
