Downer? I think the owners are fantastic and have had the same kind of impact in changing us as a club as Pearson did when he came in.... I've just said I think acun would be harder to replace then LR. Not sure how that's me being a downer tbh

And I've not said they aren't/haven't been, all I've said is that I think acun is the bugger influence/He would be harder to replace them LR if the worst was to happen....not sure why people are trying to make that into something it isn't.

Howden I think you’re a very valuable poster on the forum. You make interesting points, share info you have etc. And maybe it’s not intentional and it’s easy to misinterpret posts. But I have always sensed there’s been a bit of a negative narrative around Acun and Rosenior, or suspicion around the owner at least in some of your posts. I’m not expecting everyone to be yes men, happy clappers, but it’s seemed like a bit of an undercurrent to numerous posts.

P.S I get your gripes with rosenior being stubborn on our weaknesses, similar mistakes happening. But overall he’s been a breath of fresh air. Passionate about the club and city, now got a squad that could take the style of football that he wants to play to the next level. I’m just generally loving watching us at the minute, after the nadir of the second half of the Allam’s tenure, it’s been the ideal tonic.

I understand the timescale, just it was the first time I had heard of this probationary period. As it was the next post after it was mentioned for the first time on here, presumably I wasn’t on my own.

I’d be really disappointed if it wasn’t about the lack of a defensive midfielder.

I've honestly absolutely nothing against our owners, I think acun and his team are fantastic. I think they took over the club at possibly one of the lowest points in its time and completely changed it. But I won't let that blind me to the fact that they he/they are businessmen and will want to see a return on their investment at some point ( how much patience they have is anyones guess ) they are doing fantastic things, saying great things etc. but again, he's a media man. Would you honestly expect anything less? I just don't get all puffy eyed when owners say the things they know fans want to hear. I go on actions and facts and ( so far ) acun is smashing it out the park.

As for LR I thought earlier in the season he's was doing some very daft and naive things that I would call out any manager on, all the things I said about we are doing well but should be doing better ( points wise ) are exactly the same things LR himself as said recently. He's learning and ATM has my backing. But again, that won't stop me calling him ( or any manager ) out on things when I think they are wrong etc....thats what this place is for isn't it? Some agree and some won't, that's life.

And I stand by what I've said today, Acun would be harder to replace then LR and that this amazing window has happened more because of what acun has done as opposed to LR (I'm not saying he hasn't and doesn't have influence as he obviously has ) . Again some will agree some won't.

I want us promoted and id love to see us promoted under LR as it would be such a great story and feel good factor for the club and acun being the media man he is could spin it amazingly and draw in money etc.

You’ve been talking him down all season, I could quote dozens of posts where you’ve done so, but I can’t be arsed (at least at the moment). It’s clear from the posts on this very thread that plenty of others think the same.

I don’t disagree with much of what you are saying. However I do sense a reluctance to give Rosenior praise

It's clear the usual don't agree with me, but unfortunately that's life and people aren't always going to think the same as you or see things the same.... And there's also plenty that agree on what I've said over the season. But as it's not the same view as you, you just like to ignore it.

Just to be crystal clear, LR has and is improving as the season goes on, he's also said recently in interviews some of the exact same things I've said on here previously.... How dare he talk himself down ;)

Not the ‘who’s the longest in the showers’ question?

And for every step of progress there'll be a new higher bar to measure him against that he'll have to meet before he gets praise..

I certainly appreciate your views on these matter, although your rigidity around LR can be a little head-scratching at times. I would also agree that at this moment it's hard to imagine having a better Chairman of the Club. Long may it continue and I am excited at the potential for even better times under his stewardship, but hopefully the Allam's have served a warning to us all that things can change very quickly in football!

Edit - Just about to leave for the match. Can't bloody wait for this one! Enjoy it everyone.

I've praised him plenty of times and will continue to do so when it's right to do. But of course the bar will continue to go higher as we improve as a club, the squad improves etc....why on earth wouldn't it?

Or to phrase it slightly differently “who’s the longest in the shower because they’ve got more to wash”.

Er, yeah, if Shota, McCann or Adkins had the squad we have right now I’d have high expectations for top six.
