Looking forward to tonight at Walton st club. Although Acun won't be there but is doing a video link. A certain Mr Craig ***an is taking part. Never forget that tackle on him by Danny Guthrie. Dirty bastard. We won anyway.
He’s been injured a while now. He’s been back in the area for a while as some other City fan sees him regularly at the Gym.
He hasn't played for three months and we were probably paying most of his wages anyway, little point in him staying (and he was probably keen to get away).
As much as it sticks in my throat to say it, old man Allam did say that he would only sell the club to what he saw as a good home, now whether by pure luck or good judgement they managed to sell it to outstandingly good home.
Our form since Philogene got injured has been patchy at best. Even the game against Sunderland was crying out for someone to give us an outlet and get us further up the pitch. Now we have Zaroury as well, teams are going to struggle to double up on both of them. I think teams are going to sit in deeper against us to try and reduce the risk of fullbacks getting caught one on one. I think some games are going to require a bit of creative magic to open up defences and thankfully I think Carvalho, Tufan and potentially Omur will be up to the task particularly with Sharps excellent movement. Im also ready for the Giles assist, Sharp/Ohio goal Hopefully if and when we go in front and teams come on to us, Philogene, Zaroury and Ohio will stretch teams and hit them in the break. Any way you look at it, I imagine/hope we are in for the ride of a lifetime with the level of talent we will have on the pitch.
I don't know much about Zaroury but one thing I noticed in his goals compilation is that at Burnley he scored a lot of back post tap-ins from low balls across the box. I've said before that we really lack players who get on the end of balls like that, we seem to put loads in but never find a City player. Against these defensive teams punishing them will be important and hopefully he gives us another threat to help us do that.
You think? There are no guarantees at this level and as far as I can tell, our business in and out suggests that the model is not only sustainable, but fairly reliant on Rosenior.
I'd say out model is way more reliant on Acun pumping as much money as he's allowed to as opposed to being reliant on LR. We could find another head coach just as good or better then LR tomorrow if we really needed/wanted to. Do you think we'd find another owner as good as or better then Acun just as quick or easy. On another note, as much as acun is a fan favourite etc, doing absolutely everything right and has completely changed the club and the feeling around it..... He's a business man, he ( and the people around him ) won't just continue to pump money in without a return..... He wants the Prem.
