I could be wrong, but suspect Acun and Tan want to get to the promised land of The Premier League, so anticipate investment within the parameters we have to operate within would continue. Rosie is the man challenged to make it happen, and appears to enjoy the full backing of Acun, as long as he's close to achieving promotion, or ideally securing promotion, he's OK. Fall short of that shared ambition and he'll be gone at some point. That said don't see Rosie going anywhere during the next 15 months at least.
Unless we have a terrible start to next season I don't see him going, agree, however much some hope it to happen. We'd need a Shota-esque collapse over a sustained period for a change to be made.
We need to kick start a good run now, need to string a run of wins together something we haven’t done all season. We haven’t played in a while, we were in poor form before the break we’ve just had. Think it’s a perfect team to start it against too as they’re always a challenge but they’re adapting to a new manager at the minute too
Agree I think Omur, Zaroury, Carvalho, Philogene is more likely to be our front four, with Tufan another option as a fifth attacking player, where they can all almost rotate through the central and wide positions as needed.
He probably won’t start but I’d be surprised if he doesn’t come on, mostly to replace Seri in the majority of games.
I may well have been too, if I knew who most of them were, I know of Carvalho & Zamoury, but the rest,!
Can we have a video showing Duggie Sinik leaving the MKM and waving goodbye. I just want to make sure.
I honestly think Tufan could do a job next to Morton until we get Seri back. His energy levels, his strength, the fact he can put a tackle in when needed and his ability to arrive into the box late would all be positive attributes playing there. He seems to have really come on a lot with 'tenacity' this season and because he pops up with goals I'd prefer to see him in the XI when possible. Sometimes his passing can be a little astray further up the field when we're advancing so that would be the one concern if he was played deeper. Since Slater's been playing next to Morton I think he's been a bit anonymous to be honest. Not been particularly bad, but just not really put his stamp on a game, which we know he can do. Seems to have been the way pretty much since he came back from his injury. Regarding the window in general, what we have now are options, and some serious ones too. It bugs me when we play players out of position. It's fine when needs must, but through the second half of this season (injuries dependant) I really want to see us playing players where they excel the most whenever possible.
Aye, was going to say the same. Worth a try. Guess against more attacking teams there’s a chance that partnership gets ran ragged maybe. But against teams looking for a draw at the mkm, feel there’d be more creativity.
Depends how you define 'a force' I guess. We got promoted to the PL and spent 2 seasons there before the Allams were involved. In the context of City, that probably qualifies as being 'a force'.
I think this is one of the problems when signing players, it’s keeping the existing players happy as well and keeping a great team spirit. But hopefully LR will be able to do that. We definitely needed to add players and we certainly seem to have added some good ones, now it’s a time for everyone to get to know each other and hopefully bond as a squad.
With the additional quality in the squad now, Rosie should be able to rotate one or two a bit more and feel more comfortable making substitutions to rest players when we’re ahead in the latter stages of games.
