by, we like to leave it late now mind... happy or sad or just 'meh'? happy now styles has finally been announced, CDM and striker would have been nice but i think we will get more from at least rusyn and burstow now, if the stoke game is a true direction of where MB is taking the lads and plenty have said the defensive line looked more 'together' so maybe those two positions are not needed. still waiting before making a judgement on MB but feck it, the club has seen us right so far despite us fans always wanting more and if players/agents are demanding daft fees then pleased we never took them up.
Didn’t realise styles had that many championship appearances. Little bit similar to Ballard in a way being a good age but unlike most of our younger signings has decent experience at this level. Tbf if he’s half the player Ballard is we’re onto a winner
…. Styles has a wealth of experience under his belt having made 222 senior appearances to date, including 124 in the Sky Bet Championship. Equally comfortable playing in midfield or at left-back and left wing-back, the 23-year-old becomes the Club’s third January arrival following the permanent signings of Leo Hjelde and Romaine Mundle. Styles progressed through Burnley's academy before signing for Bury aged 16 and he represented his hometown Club on 47 occasions, with a move to Barnsley coming to fruition in 2018. He spent the majority of last season on loan in the second tier with Millwall and has earned 18 international caps with Hungary, who he is eligible to represent through his grandparents. Styles underwent minor surgery in January to remove his appendix and he is expected to make an imminent return to action. Sporting Director Kristjaan Speakman said: “Callum is an interesting player, who has the ability to play on the left side of central midfield or slightly wider in a full back or wing back role, so we feel his quality and flexibility will be a real benefit to us throughout the remainder of the season. Having reached an agreement in principle last week, we had an unavoidable delay due to Callum’s illness, but after reviewing his progress, we are now delighted that he’s here and we look forward to his imminent return to action.”
I know its pointless and like talking to a brick wall. I really should know better but..... Rigg isn't a striker never mind how many times you talk like he is!
And, despite predictions of doom and gloom, Ballard, Clarke, Ekwah, Rigg, etc, still here ... ... but the accusations of us being nothing but a selling club will no doubt continue unabated.
I wish we were, I’m desperate for a player sale so we can stop pissing around and sign someone serious
You can’t stop it smug, it’s just something we who’ve seen far worse than this current regime and situation, have to roll with, everyone’s got the right to whinge if they want to, at the minute it’s like a perfect storm, get beat off the scum, **** up ticketing, owner didn’t spend his inheritance on a club he’s only been involved with for a few years, appointing a manager not many wanted, all adds up to a ****ing whinge fest.
Fairly happy with the window. Kept our big players, added a championship tested defender (even if it was only half a season, Rotherham fans loved him), added a championship tested midfielder who can play multiple positions and Millwall fans really like him, and added an exciting winger. Spent a good amount of money also. Decent. Over to Beale, the coaching staff and the players now.
