Is our financial state that bad? With the Attanasios on board we should be in one of the best financial positions we have been in for a while surely

I would have thought that we would replace both Hwang and Idah, it feels a bit light if both go with only one coming in unless Aboh is to be promoted for the rest of the season

McCallum and Sorenson are the only 2 I can see that we would keep.

Look at the accounts - it is that bad. The new part owner gives us stability to cover existing debt and the ability to get on a sound footing for the future but he will not boost the transfer policy or the new wage structure whether that be for new players or existing players reaching the end of their current contract. Any transfers will have to be self funded which increases the chances of the likes of Sara and Rowe being sold. As I keep saying - look down the road for the business model as they have got where they are with a below average wage bill and little net spend in the transfer market.

This window has underlined to me that there are financial limits now that the parachute payments have finished. We were told that Attanasio money was available to improve the squad but we have spent nothing, instead saving on the salaries of Forshaw, Idah and Placheta. Much depends on how Van Hooijdonk does if Knapper ever manages to sort out the paperwork, but it will take time for Sydney to adjust to a new club, new surroundings, new tactics and new players to link up with. Until he does, we're down to two strikers with Rowe out as well. The outcome is a net loss of two players from a small squad. That isn't the approach of a team pushing for the playoffs.

But the accounts didn’t include the sales of the likes of Omobamidele

Late attempt to hijack the Van Hooijdonk signing:

"Bundesliga side Mainz attempted a late deal to take Sydney van Hooijdonk away from Carrow Road, according to Sky Germany. Christoph Zimmermann's SV Darmstadt also reportedly enquired. The Dutchman has his heart set on England, however, and we're expecting confirmation of that deal before long."

The sale of Omobamidele, Aarons, Rashica and Mumba raised more than £30m but in installments, the parachute payments also bring in at least £30m but there is still likely to be a shortfall from the previous budget. If 5 or 6 players are going to move on without raising any money, any rebuilding will likely have to be funded from the sale of Rowe and/or Sara. That seems a big challenge.

These items were carried over to the forecast financial account for this season to help cover forecast losses. Last seasons loss was sorted out separately. You can only use the money once but the major worry is next year when the parachute payments have finished.
Has it gone through? I haven't seen anything.

There is another veiled tweet from Norwich showing the silhouette of a player, can only imagine it is Van Hooijdonk

Looks like that's our lot. Feels like we've probably ended the window slightly weaker than we started it?
