He was very solid even when Southampton where on top towards the end of the game

He is like Cathcart was a few years ago, very calm with good positioning but not the fastest on the pitch

 

Pollock was turned down by at least 1 club due to the fact he is too slow.
You can train a player up but you can't give him speed he just doesn't have. So he stays for now but is not a long term bet unfortunately.

I think he has earned his contract - wasn't too sure at first but he has worked hard and become one of our top performers. Am guessing he may have found the pace of the English game a bit challenging at first.

So that is all over for another few months .
