Likely the most interesting of all the food poisonings to my mind. Possibly been present at some very very interesting events in human history. Fungus is a criminally underrated thing.
experience, many questions have rightly been asked about it...i am highly in favour of the current plan/model whatever, it is hopefully going to be one of the sustainable models in the game and with the recent (albeit far too late) examinations of certain clubs and 'overspending', that can't be a bad thing and it will save us throwing millions into any quick fix type solution and heading back to near administration, again. therefore i am happy watching these younger lads come in and prove themselves but i am pretty much set on my thoughts about a CDM, while many do ok in this position i really think that someone who has 'been there, seen it' develops that kind of sixth sense that is needed there and it will also allow the lads to get out there and do what they do best...entertain us. strikers, while a battle hardened bloke would be welcome, the team would have to play to his strenghts, how many strikers have scored sh1t loads for a particular club and got themselves that multi-million quid move to a top club then simply become 'ordinary'...it is certainly a position that needs to be part of the teams direction and needs to be able to slot into the style of play so that is the other position that has to be just right and 'getting anyone' to keep the fans happy is certainly not needed.
Experience leads usually to consistency They have experienced different situations within a game and know how to manage them, even if they are not playing well. We have a completely inexperienced team and our results 13 wins and 12 defeats reflect that lack of consistency As Gattuso said......
I do feel like amad will stay at Utd. Even with the red and white glades off, he’d be best placed somewhere getting regular game time- which he could do in the prem. the fact that Utd may not be willing to letting him go anywhere is a huge disservice to the lad.
Amad needs to come here where he is adored come on get him here and show these a top 6 place is ours. i still say Langstaff in as well. Or symodics ?
Experience doesnt equal leadership, what we need is players ready to make an impact straight away though not just players for the future. Ideally the ready made players will have experience n some leadership skills as i dont think you can ever have enough leaders in the team. People saying you cant talk negatively about the club on here without getting pelters is bull imo. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and everyone is entitled to challenge back if they dont agree with something. Everyone on here says they love the club (im sure we will get the odd WUM on here) and just want the best for our club. Some will show that by being negative as they want to point out where we can improve n some will always look at the good things the club do Ideally the nxt 2 days for me will bring us a cdm n a striker - both have to be ready to play players and the 3rd would be a winger. Ideally id want amad as that winger but id be happy with a talent like mundle as he had the xfactor. Winger is the position out of the 3 of them that can be for the future
I agree pretty much and am a little bit in-between on the defensive midfielder one as I initially thought DN would be excellent in this role but our head coach decided to try new things and IMO slowed his development in this area. However the defensive midfield role is so pivotal in football now that I do think we suffer by not having 1 with a bit more experience available but in truth again out of the players I know I could not really name 1 that is fully better than we have who are realistic target for us, that's not to say that they are not out there but it does seem that they are hard to find at the minute.
Totally off topic but been reading about mycelium. It’s what knits nature together, absolutely amazing as we learn about it, almost like magic or the force!
Yeah, really interesting that. Amazing that it's been compared to a brain-like system, and that some mycelia can span acres. @Disco down under 's post was timely for me as I'm currently doing some work on Iron Age granary pits, where it's considered that fungal infestation might have led to some interesting things happening!
Would have him here in a heartbeat, but sadly no chance. 21 goals in 29 games from midfield this season...
It's a large recurring subject in a novel I'm writing. Any stories you come across would meet welcome ears!
