If McVitie's starts making redundancies you know there could be a problem. I've just been out and bought a 16 pack of McVitie's Penguin bars from Sainsbury's and I don't even like them. That's what you call supporting your team. Before you read this, what year was the Jaffa Cake first introduced? Well done if you can get it within 5 years... https://mcvities.co.uk/about
Im confused about LR’s comments, I thought Coyle and Slater gave balance and attacking threat down the left side.
One of the stars of the film "Loaneeless of the Long Distance Runner", Tom Courtenay, was born in Hull and is an avid City fan. Hails from 'Essle Rerd" just like our famous member of this forum. The character played by Courtenay was called Colin Smith, which coincidentally was the same name of a 1950's/'60's Hull City centre forward. (RIP Colin Smith). https://www.wearehullcity.co.uk/news/2022/august/in-memoriam-colin-smith/ https://www.theguardian.com/lifeand.../15/loneliness-long-distance-runner-book-club
My sources are telling me that Ryan Giles will not be featuring for Luton tonight when they host Brighton. The full back continues to be linked with a loan move to Hull City.
Acun has done his job and backed LR, there surely has to be pressure now to get top 6? This is a huge test for LR and he certainly has the tools, if he can integrate the new signings and get us winning games this is going to be a very exciting time indeed, my biggest worry is the loanees, feels a bit boom or bust about it as if we don’t go up we are losing a lot of key players next season. kudos to all concerned though. Great time to be a city fan
This must be a very testing time for LR. There can't be another rookie manager that has been given the tools he has to make a name for himself and deliver Acuns dream. Pressure's on. Genuinely wish him well...
Critiquing our use of the loan market is crazy, we have a few that have options and utilising the loan market is a key component to getting out the championship.
The remainder of the season now is a big test for LR, if we hit play offs or very narrowly miss out then I'm not sure they'll be many complaints internally, but if we fail to now compete and finish a way off then I'm not sure Acun will keep backing him like he has and I'm not sure LR or anyone could have any complaints.
Old '1k'? That's not a reflection of his wages, more the distance he'd generally travel on the pitch.
I do worry that there is now pressure on Rosenior. We’ve gone from just 2 or 3 to signing half a team. The progress is clear to see, Rosey is a fan favourite with a genuine link to the club and I hope he’s here for years to come. To be honest, I don’t think he will get sacked unless we’re bottom half and playing utterly ****e in November time. Financially I am a little nervous we are throwing a lot of eggs in one basket but I suppose all we can do is keep our fingers and toes crossed that our owners aren’t waltzing down the merry path of doom that countless rich and exuberant championship club owners have walked down before.
Baz adding a bit of insight in his latest article about why these deals make sense. Touches on what they are trying to build ready for next season (if we don't go up this season that is).
