That was an odd one and something must make him wonder. I know Man Utd are short of wide options, but if he's getting zero game time then surely playing every week between now and May will benefit everyone in the long term?
Looks like Pellistri is going on loan to Granada so that might scupper any hope we have of getting Amad basck
At the end of the day Ba is our own so at least if this happens we can concentrate on his development. Might get that Arsenal lad in now to bolster attacking options in midfield.
Yeah I guess. Not a huge fan of loans because you then have that situation where you need to replace them. Amad would have given us that bit of magic dust, but you are right -we should be looking to develop Ba, Aouchiche and Rigg - even if it means we take another season or two to be competing for top 2
If he comes back to us for 3/4 months loan and produces the form we know he's capable of,I don't see how that can be anything other than beneficial for everyone. For him,he gets game time and the chance to showcase his skills, for Man U,who are in a state of flux, not needing him now anyway, he can only come back better in the summer, and, for us,the benefits are obvious.I'm not a fan of loans, but,in the here and now, it's a no-brainer imo.
Half the season already gone and Amad is still treading water. Whatever happens it reflects badly on Man Utd and the way they handle their players ... ... some people claim Sunderland are badly run but young players seem to be well looked after.
Think we can continue to develop those players into a side which includes an in form Amad.....I don't think the two are mutually exclusive.
Definitely but it’s probably a moot point now as they’ve sent the other fellow out and probably keeping Amad
Aye, no development this season so far. If we did sign him on loan how long before he is match sharp and fit enough to make an impact? The lad needs to move away from Utd imo, he is unlikely to get his chance there. If he was on loan here from summer and went back in January he might get a shot but at the minute he is back to being the kid who hasn't played in the mamnagers wyes. Is a under pressure manager going to risk it? If he was under Fergie he would be a regular off the bench by now as a minimum.
In reality he's very quiet in some games which we forget because of the moments of magic ... ... sadly his quietest game was at Luton in the playoffs. We're in a real fight now and I'm not sure he's the man for the job.
Wouldn’t be shocked if the Arsenal lad comes in on a perm in a deal similar to cirkin/alese/ekwah think someone might have already pointed this out so apologies if I’ve just rehashed your post
