Haven’t read what you have but DN for me is ready made for the PL and Rigg can probably play any where that doesn’t have a defensive role. I think he’s gonna be brilliant in the years to come. Both lads are class footballers.
All good mate, thank you. Son had major surgery on Wednesday, spent most of the day at the hospital today so missed game. Will watch the full 90 tomorrow, reading the thread back through sounds like we played well. Good to see you posting again, really enjoy your insight. Good win that though, Stoke have been a decent side since Schumacher came in. Thanks to the other posters who asked if I was ok. @Chunksafc, my iptv doesn't have the ifollow, or at least I can't find it, but thanks for the reply.
Thanks for that, first time ive seen the goals. Three decent goals. Also watched Beale post match interview and thought he spoke well.
Pretty sad of me this, but I watch these most weeks to see the players entrance and welcome. It's always good when an ex player returns. I watched today just to see a bit more of Lynden. Great reception.
Haven’t seen the match back yet and I’ve had a few beers, but seen the stuff with gooch, that was pretty cool to see. If you take the blinkers off he wasn’t even that great of a player for us, a solid servant yes, bud nowt special, point is it doesn’t take a lot to be regarded so highly by our fans. Give your all, carry yourself well and show the club respect and you’ll be appreciated forever. Well done gooch, wish him all the best
Just seen this. Horrible when your kids are ill. The worst. He’ll be well cared for but it’s a massive worry. Hope the operation went well and he recovers well. Look after yourself
The best thing for me about the game was seeing Ekwah further up the pitch where he should be all the time. You see the difference in his game and it's glaringly obvious.
Walked around and got a really good reception. I know there’s loads of uproar over the clubs dealings with Pritchard but I think their willingness to offload Gooch is worse. Hes one of those that comes around once in a blue moon and I would have tried to keep him at the club until the day he retired. Sunderland through and through since being a bairn. Stayed when we went down and took it on his shoulders to be part of turning things around. Not the best player in the world but a good role model and a canny utility player to have in the squad.
Gooch leaving was the right thing for both the club n him. Always gutting to see such a great servant in another teams shirt but the time had come for him to go Cracking lad and good player when hes on it, but we needed to try n improve in the fullback area (we had until they got injured!!!) Gooch will be back at the club in some capacity some day imo, top lad and the type you just want to succeed wherever he goes
